Normally it's February/March time when it all goes tits up with injuries, but it's still effing August! Just have to hope that behind the scenes there's stuff going on, but I am not convinced. Could be a long season.

Here's the scenario, Wenger tells us Giroud will be out for 2/3 weeks only,so we don't need to buy another striker cos we have sanogo ,Campbell and Sanchez and Walcott can play as our main striker.

Transfer window closes ,no sign of Giroud coming back Wenger keeps telling us 2/3weeks then later tells us Giroud has had a setback and will be another 2/3 weeks which will stretch into 3/4 months.

Repeat this scenario for other injured players and that makes it the same as every other season for the last 3/4 years.

Yup! and so that means we'll get to see him play (maybe) in November. :?

If we don't beat Besiktas we will not only sell him but others too and there will be no-one coming in ! :barscarf:
I don't think Arsenal are desperate to get rid of him at all. Sounds like clubs have been in touch about his availability and by the sounds of it, want him on loan. If Wenger allowed him to go out on loan without getting in additional bodies then it would be absolute suicide. Giroud's injury could be timely...we'll find out.

Still just under a week of the window left. I'm not clinging to any real hope of another late star signing but I do expect another centre back at the absolute least. I just hope it doesn't go right to the wire and we're offering Tal Ben Haim a 2 year deal in desperation.

Looked nothing at the time, thought he was acting a bit to run down the clock. Hope we don't get Wellbeck .

This is what it says on L'Equipe website as part of the article about Giroud,
In the sights of the Londoners are found notably Danny Welbeck, Loic Remy, Edinson Cavani or even Falcao. But all of them are very expensive even if they are not simply blocked by their current clubs.

The tweet must have been written by a tabloid headline writer. :blah: :blah: :blah:

I would actually rather have Campbell upfront all year than have Welbeck anywhere near Arsenal.

He is absolutely shite.
