THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If we lose to Tottenham, I expect AW will panic buy like he did when we lost to Man Utd in 2011.

Then, when we're third in March having wiped the floor with WBA, Fulham and Swansea at the Emirates, he'll tell us how we'd be legitimate title challengers if it weren't for our 'slow start' (i.e. him not being prepared for the season).

Maybe if we actually stocked up on players in June, and started the season at the same time as everyone else - in other words, without a three game handicap - then we might actually get somewhere.

I'm not covering any new ground here, but it always riles me when he says we started the season a little slowly, when it was he who was entirely responsible. And I foresee the same thing happening this year.

Either you're a very naughty boy and have been biting your thumb nail/s or that's a pretty close shave for a manicure!

:D

Seeing that headline!...Well now I am cofnused...I thought it was Wenger in charge with wigead's say so...and Gazidis playing the middle man - runing between them like a lapdog - happy to get his £2mill+ a year PLUS his £630k bonus for saving Arsenal PC Ooops FC money.

But now it looks like...well I dunno...BUT...where was I.... :rubchin: ..... :rubchin: .....Aaaah! yes WENGER OUT!.

That newspaper headline was from June 6th I believe!! I wonder if people feel differently now? Strange that it all went quiet on the contract front.......I still think Wenger will be off at the end of this season......walking away after finishing 5th or 6th in the PL.

I know how that tee-shirt could be improved, a picture of Wenger on it, with the word Wenger replaced with Axe Wound! I'd even buy one!

TEAM AXE WOUND
