SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I can smell a nice little Benayoun style loan deal a mile off.......

LATEST GOSSIP
Manchester City are waiting to see if there will be any rivals offers for midfielder Gareth Barry before they allow the 32-year-old midfielder to move to Everton on loan.

Barry has been given the option of fighting for his place at City by new manager Manuel Pellegrini, but according to the Daily Mail, is likely to leave the Etihad in pursuit of first-team football.

The money Real have to pay for Bale must be there already........

So maybe they will take our offer for Benzema and Di Maria and go get Suarez?? Full merry go round!!!
That is exactly what i was going to post . I would settle for Benny as i could never see us getting that dog Suarez .

As for Goalies didnt chesney get dropped last season from a champs league game as wenger said he was not mentally strong enough. ???? It has been said by a lot but a better keeper is needed

Is it true Le Sulk has just retired on the Baggies 5 days into a new season? If true that is bizarre even by his standards.

Our two free signings - Anelka and Flamini - sounds like a perfect plan. Chuck in Barry on a loan deal and we'd have 3 super quality new signings and a nice little transfer window profit

£100 million ?? Methinks that there is a decimal point missing somewhere in there

Wenker doesnt like spending money and I know that (even though I am not on board with it :x ) but why in gods name does he not sign up cesar then ? :? In recent years he has made a fair few headscratching decisions but this must be up there with the worst of them  If he believes that chesney is still the future then why would he attempt to buy some nobody for 6m in spain when he can sign up cesar for fcuk all with qpr desperate to get him off the payroll ? For me if you are spending any type of decent money then you put in a cheeky bid for casillas (and tell them that we gave song to barca in order to fcuk barca up  ) and see where that leads you but if back up is all you are looking for then dont spend 6m ffs

Problem was, that he believed what g88ner posted on here last season and thought that he was joining a budding top 4 side but then when he got there he realised that basically they are shit

a winger and a striker. really ?

i sometimes wonder if wanger watches a different team to us...i'm pretty sure no-one on here thoughteafter Blackburn and Bradford had dumped us out of both cupes, and bayern had annihaliated us in the CL "oh we really need another striker and winger..."

FFS :banghead:
