THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I also thought tactically we were very adaptable and quick to offer support to our fullbacks when it was clear that Townsend in particular was giving gibbs a tough time. There was one time when Rosicky was over there to help cover and then just didn't track Walker at all but at least the idea was there!

I have to agree I though for once Wenker got it right tacticaly,we soaked up the pressure time after time, let them have the ball in their own half and pass it backwards and sideways without penetrating us(ooh er) .the blokes a genius,i tell thee :banghead:

Yup! You'd better get some Würstchen in as well (for our new signing!) :D

This signing will have bought him a pass with the press, whose attention will now turn to Moyes after they inexplicably made a complete hash of their transfers when they were best set out of everyone (especially if United lose to Citeh).

I made the mistake of listening to Talkshite for 2 minutes on the drive home tonight and heard the host say "2 weeks ago it was Wenger OUT OUT OUT, now its Wenger must stay"

Errrr.....only if you're about 8 years old? Honestly if a single fan who wanted him gone 2 weeks ago has changed their mind on the back of him signing Ozil then we really do have some twats following us

Yeah it's about the time that the media outlets who have fondled themselves over Wenger for years before slating him for weeks/months now chastise "Arsenal fans" for being fickle about him. Really.

does anyone really believe that him and Ivan did a good job in the window, really ????

with 52 million quid still unspent, the dithering, missing out on Higuain, Ba, the time wasted on Suarez.

really ?

one marquee signing doesn't hide the ineptitude of their summer, not to mention the poor player prep.

wanger out !

So with Mesut Özil joining Per Mertesacker and Lucas podolski... surely the obvious next move is either Jürgen Klopp or Joachim Löw as our next manager. :barscarf:

Still for of course.

Am happy to have a small wager that we win something this season if anyone fancies (friendly figure of course, nothing stupid) I will also repeat the offer annually even if I lose
