Tell me again, how exactly could usmanov's regime be any worse than kroenke's ? We are not "pretty powerless" now....we are totally powerless when it comes to kroenke's control and management. His control and structure of our club isnt a one off......look at how he manages his other sports "franchises" in america. Ambition and persuit of on field success are not words in his sports vocab and I'd say he is delighted the way our club is currently performing - the only slight improvement that he might want to introduce is if he could change the wage structure to something along the lines of what he pays those sweat shop workers that walmart uses (fact not disputed by walmart in case any of ye mods start getting your knickers in a knot over this)
When I figure out what a fucking "ye mod" is, I'll get back to you on that one, swamper!

Signing Ozil was fantastic management, can't doubt that.

Still think it is time for him to naff off though.

Get Heynckes or Klopp in.

Interestingly, Sky Bet have seen consistent money for Roberto Mancini to become the next Arsenal manager. They've had to move him from 25/1 to 4/1. Make of that what you will.

I really don't want Mancini to manage Arsenal when/if Wenger leaves. He had not been impressive at all during his reign at City, and I really don't think he'd be any good here either. He looked terrible at controlling his team (fair enough, there are some complete twat's there) and when he went behind in a game, he didn't look like he had a clue how to sort it out. He only won the league due to the funds he could spend on players imo.

Anyone but Mancini.

What's that Chinese saying - be careful what you wish for?

I know what you're saying/mean ...If it were possible to remove ownership from all the Olgarchs and Yank business men - I mean FFS the Glasiers what a bunch of robbing mercenaries they are 'Allegedly' - Using manures profits to pay off their debts and line their pockets (which is cool btw coz its the mancs) I'm glad they don't own Arsenal.

Also I did not say I wanted Usmanov 'In Charge' but considering he owns the amounts of shares he does - and has (publicly) offered to fund the purchase of whatever players Wenger wants to the tune of £300million, than surely he should at the very least be allowed to sit at the big table with the other clunges - It's not as if syrup stan is doing anything but taking out his nice little earner!? - At least Usmanov is an Arsenal Fan (long before he bought shares).

I'm aware of the rep he has - and it's not surprising as all the Olgarchs got their ill gotten billions by extremely dark and dodgy dealings "Allegedly"... But perhaps he is the lesser of Two Evils...I don't know...so simply saying 'be careful what you wish for' says and means nothing...

We all know Football is no longer what we once knew or hoped it might become...it is now a Business ie: a means by which to make a product and sell that product (franchise!  ) for a fecking whacking profit!

:| :?

I like others want MY Arsenal back, but sadly that boat has sailed.

Well, good fucking on ya! Yippee for you!!

But seriously, is your thought process so limited that you can't accept some people could also have loved the win against the Vermin, loved the Ozil signing, but still be unhappy that Wenger hasn't strengthened where we needed it most? Those things aren't mutually exclusive. :|

How is that having your life "blighted by misery"? It's just being realistic about the situation.

Judge him by results on predefined criteria (you decide your own criteria for success and failure). Personally don’t care about style of play a great deal, it’s a competition based on results. If you can win and play pretty football by all means do it but don’t make pretty football the aim of the game. I think given the resources available to him he could have achieved more in both league positions and cup competitions in recent years.

I want him gone because he has refused to use the resources available to him to achieve the maximum results. No-one is asking for him to “do a Leeds or Portsmouth”, just use everything at his disposal to win things. If we come up short because we spent our resources well, trained them to be an effective team and are then beaten by clubs with greater resources then hands up there is nothing we can do.

But at the moment I would stand by my criticism of Wenger even if we won the league (which I would obviously be delighted about, but I really don’t see happening with this squad). That may sound like a strange thing to say but why have lots of money in the bank and decrease your chances of being successful?

Those who still support him are entitled to that view of course, but never seemed to provide a definitive answer about where the boundary is. The club should absolutely have minimum targets to achieve and it should be more than simply finishing in the top 4 every year.
