Lot of illness in the squad. Bad miss from Havertz. We didn’t deserve to lose 2-0. Massive over reaction on here as per usual.
Well we missed chances and conceded two so yeah we did deserve to lose 2-0.

We were not outplayed. Martinelli scores. Different game. Timber scores his sitter. Havertz scores his sitter. We had other chances. We were poor but they hung on for dear life. Still reckon there is life in this tie.

I love the club but it's beyond embarrassing to see so many of our fanbase are desperate to apply hero worship to the manager and would rather do so than support what is best for the club. We must be the only club in the league that doesn't treat the manager as someone to facilitate success but instead treats him like an all knowing football God to be put on a pedestal  I don't give a shit who manages the club as long as we have the best chance of success but just like in the Wenger days, no one at the club is ruthless and instead this shit show will continue.

I am where I was with Wenger in 2009 when he had the nucleus of a great team but his stubbornness always saw him a couple of players short of completing the puzzle. He also got rid of all the leaders and replaced them with spineless pussies like Gallas who was the most shameful captain in the history of the club.

A team that on its day could play great football but who checked out as soon as it got to the business end of a competition, bottling cup finals to the likes of Birmingham, and get rolled over in the CL by anyone half decent with a shred of tactical nous

I see all the same things happening now. The more every one shouts "we need a striker" the less he will buy one, just like everyone knew we needed a Vieira replacement back then

We're destined to be bridesmaids forever under this bloke I'm afraid. What follows next is your elite players leave and you replace them with ones that aren't as good - Cesc, RVP downgrades will soon be Saliba and Saka downgrades. The best players don't settle for being CL quarter finalists and Carabao Cup semi finalists.

He just hasn't got what it takes. It's done. I don't give a fuck how people are bigging up Newcastle. They limped over the line against Spurs Reserves and beat the worst Man Ure team since the mid 70s. They are bang average but because it's a semi final we bottled it and now we're out. There isn't anywhere near enough leadership material or cojones in this team to go up there and overturn a 2 goal deficit. It's another trophyless season. Wenger managed 9 years and now well on the way to 5. Wenger set us back 10 years. Are we going to allow that to happen again?

Yes sitters were missed so it was a deserved loss

Going back to the Wenger likeness, its now almost uncanny.

Consistently 1 or 2 players away from completing the project - check
Swat aside dross like West Ham, Sheffield United etc - check
Start to choke at the business end of any competition you have a chance of winning - check
Total lack of on field leadership - check
Baffling substitutions that have almost been pre-planned and have no bearing on the game - check
Defensive interviews praising the unbelievable spirit of the team - check
Easily bullied as soon as half decent striker comes to town - check

What happens next of course is that Saliba goes to Madrid and it becomes open season again with all our best players and end up in a constant state of rebuilding and buying inferior replacements. When that happens next season - check

TWO ARSENE WENGERS.......THERE'S ONLY TWO ARSENE WENGERS

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

We lost the Carabao Cup, little bit in special circumstances. Fuck off you useless c.unt, as big prick as Wenger was in 2009 and that was allowed to fester for another decade before setting the club back years

Possibly all he's missing from his list to turn into wenger is a list of nearly sign players and a zip fetish

Oh my dear fucking God.

That is prime Wengerspeak circa 2010. The "special circumstances" of the ball.... fuck me.

Why weren't Newcastle made play with this same shit floaty ball that kept getting kicked over and wide of the goal? I demand answers! Why were we made play with a different ball to the one Newcastle scored twice with ffs? :x :x :x

The ball flies and grips differently :D :D :D

That's an absolute classic! As much as Wenger's list of special circumstances used to amuse and kill me in equal measure, I can't recall if the quality of the matchball was ever on the list. TV schedules for sure, but the matchball......that's absolutely amazing

Just give the bloke the full length body armour jacket with the tricky zip and the cloning process is complete

He really is an absolute fucking tool.

There is nothing worse than the clown in charge coming up with horse shit excuses for his own failings.

And just like days of old, half the crowd fucked off 10 minutes from the end.
