He's got a great fist touch he just lacked composure last season which was understandable considering the injuries.Bradywasking wrote:Glad for him that he scored those goals yesterday, but he isn't Premier class. He did sort out his feet yesterday which was a problem that really summed him up last season.

If he was a parks hatchet man it would be a great first touch, seeing as his second touch normally ends up being a tackle.

Good on both of them getting goals. Can't hurt either's confidence. Those still bagging Sanogo because his 4 were easy need to stop and smell the roses every now and again. What's the kid go to do to impress - score 7?
Credit to him - I don't think he's all that good but scoring 4 in any game is a great effort.

Stop, stop, stop - context is everything and the reality is that he scored 4 goals in a mickey mouse friendly against a team that have lost most of its best players and are champions of one of europes 2nd rate leagues

I presume we can write off our loss yesterday in a Mickey mouse friendly as well.

If we're talking about context it's worth pointing out that people aren't getting up in arms about people saying he did pretty well Saturday. Its when people are now suggesting that actually he has a role to play and our opinions should be completely tranformed by a few tap-ins that they are getting these responses.

Absolutely mc - we didn't get 3pts for beating benfica on Saturday and both games should be viewed as little more than training games at the colney. I had a real interest in watching the weekend games (tbh I never had an interest in the emirates cup in the past) but that was more due to the fact that I wanted to see our new signings in action, plus I wanted to see if le cock had actually grasped the reality that his shite 4-5-1 wasn't working and was going to change things up this season

I was at the Emirates on Saturday. Clockend, row 9 block 26 some of you may have seen me, I was the one making all that noise called signing
(I fucking hate sitting with non-singers but that's another argument)
Before he managed to accidentally score his first goal he was absolutely shite! I mean awful and then he went on to score four goals agasint a team who looked so deflated it was borderline hilarious. Yes, the lad scored four goals but he also missed about 5 clear cuts chances vs Boreham Wood. The difference between Boreham Wood and Benfica - the former actually tried in the game. Benfica didn't care and it showed.
Just because he scored 4 goals vs Benfica in a friendly doesn't mean he is the next best thing. I was scored 24 goals in 4 games at secondary school, does that mean I should have won the ballon d'or? Let's face facts, in a real match Sanogo wouldn't get the five or six chances he needs to score one. He wouldn't get to much free time on the ball, won't get any space.
