Victims FC to win the League, or who else will?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Obviously they have genuine support here and having been in that position with Arsenal too often I would understand their empty feeling this morning, but for all of those who suddenly regained or reignited their "support" well no sympathy.
From an Arsenal or even football point of view in this part of the world it was unfortunate that the demise of one glory hunting supporter was replace by the re-emergence of another. It would have been nice to have a season , even if Arsenal were not involved in a title challenge, where we could talk with reasoned debate about football, but in this City where ever you turn there is a mouth offering an opinion on an issue that is frankly beyond their understanding.
Very very true BWK. I love Dublin but we do have a serious number of absolute bell-ends living here. :| Culchies mostly. :-P

I think I'm the only one of this board who feels marginally sorry for the 'Pool! Admittedly, I started supporting Arsenal in 1991, just as Liverpool were on their way out, so I never had to endure their years of dominance. The Hillsborough thing really fucks me off, but to an extent, I can separate the 'justice campaign' from the football itself - even if they can't.

I don't really like Gerrard - pretty over-rated and a diver - but he's never really done anything to upset me, personally. In fact, I fucking hate West Ham and was really glad when he knocked in that equaliser in the 2006 FA Cup Final. Suarez is a maniac, but his incidents are more comical than downright vicious (although Ivanovic may disagree with me). I wouldn't put him anywhere near the same category as Sheringham, Van Nistelrooy, Drogba and Adebayor, in terms of being a total *word censored*.

Anyway, last night brought back some pretty dismal memories of us fucking up the league: 1999 at Elland Road and 2003 at the Reebok, and I was glad not to be on the receiving end of it for a change. Likewise, I can sympathise that it's a pretty gutting feeling as a football supporter - possibly the lowest you can get with clubs at the top of the table.

Don't worry, I certainly won't be losing any sleep over it! But I'm also not really up for sticking the knife in (unlike their fans), as I know exactly how it feels. Then again, I'm sure they took their shots back in '99 and '03. Actually, fuck it. Fuck the lot of 'em.

Hadn't realised Kolo Toure had retired and become a steward now :D

Anyone can see it was caused by a bunch of pissed-up thugs barging into areas where they had no right to be far too late. Or Liverpool's 'defence' as they're also known.

1-0, GET IN. It's the only threat they've posed since I was watching - a ball slipped in down the channel for a full-back to run onto and drill across. Come on City, hold your nerve.
