Reason bieng I will wager Wenger will still be there in June 2014 so I just need to know what the size of the bet is !
Arsene will be manager until Arsene decides not to be manager anymore. Arsene is Arsenal. Arsenal is Arsene. The fucking words are nearly the same for God's sake.

He has every right to decide his own future. He founded the club on September 30th 1996, you know. :barscarf:

Yesterday I was full of optimism (beautiful alcohol fuelled optimism), today it's back to the depths of despair. I wake up some mornings 100% convinced he's done for next May and then there are days like today where I can almost smell the charcoal being fired up at SteveO's BBQ

I genuinely fear for myself if the day does come when you know who signs you know what.

You do right to be fearful young Rodders. That day will come and he will sign it.

The signing of Ozil on the deadline day doesnt alter the fact this furburger has mismanaged our club since 2006.Ive been against since the day he sold bobby and im still 100% against.

I don't believe he has mismanaged the club, just worked within a tight budget while we went through the move, I believe the board had more to do with any mismanaging of the Club.

Wenger runs the football side of things and in fairness has kept us up there when MOST other managers with his squads would have been outside of the top 4.

I believe he should be given the chance to work with a much bigger budget and see how he does then, if he fails to bring in a top strike in January (if one is available) then this would suggest he isn't interested in challenging for the major trophies.

Anyhow just sign the contract now, it's gonna happen anyway so get it done, give him the 20% pay rise he is after and move on.

Can't believe I just wrote that.....so fuckin fickle

In all honesty I'm all for a change in manager IF we don't have a real go at top titles this season, just glad we dodged moyes ay Augie

They can't spend the money for him and keep him as manager - fundamentally the buck for signings players stops with him. The board's major role in mismanagement is not getting rid of him.

How many top strikers moved in the summer ? Off the top of my head I can think of 5 but yet you want to give him another month (january) to see if he'll buy one ?? I love the way you mentioned the "if one is available" bit....hard to use that as an excuse after he spent the summer sitting on his hands when top strikers were available and did move clubs

For the record I would still have moyes as manager of AFC over arsole wenker - moyes is getting unfairly bashed over a lack of signings but the difference between them and us is that he wasnt controlling the transfer moves in their club whilst at our club, wenger has total control  He had a tough run of early season fixtures and that defeat to the victims will sting them but I still believe that they will end up 2nd to citeeh

Well you took your time..... :barscarf:

As you know I only play devils advocate on here

But there is more to it than just signing someone WE want surely, I'll go through who I think are the Five strikers you refer to.

1. Rooney.....Never ever was he gonna leave manure let alone sign for us, he wanted another hefty payrise and by all accounts is getting it.

2. Villa.....Would not leave Spain, guess what, we're not in Spain.

3. Suarez.....Liverpool would never sell to us (unless he was in last year of contract and they'd still want 40 mil, you'd be happy paying that?) and he didn't want to come, he wants to go to Madrid.

4. Lewandowski (sp).....We all know where he is going next season so another one that wouldn't come even if we offered a very large transfer fee for someone in their last year.

5. Tevez.....Another one that wanted out of England so again not matter what we offered it wasn't gonna happen, I highly doubt city would have sold him to us anyway even if he wanted to stay here.

And I mention "if available" because surely they have to be otherwise you can't buy them :?

2 out of that 5 moved, the others, Cavani? (never gonna pay that much or his wages), Soldado? (no better than Giroud), can't think of another top one so someone else will have to remind me.

And I mention "if available" because surely they have to be otherwise you can't buy them :?
EDITED, at first thought you said 5 that were available but on checking see you said 5 TOP Quality strikers that moved, could only think of 3 cos don't rate the spuds one.
