I think Higuian wanted CL football and to start every week as he's got a fair bit of competition up front for Argentina.
I think also that RM preferred Napoli as they did the deal at RM's asking price and quickly.
Suarez imho used Arsenal's bid to entice RM and I'd not be surprised if he goes there. Benzema apparently doesn't fancy leaving RM so that may be another blind alley for us
