As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Peeman wrote:Hansen said Ramsey is like a new signing and I actually hate that phrase but if he continues this vain of form (and does it consistently against top quality opposition) I will agree with it for once.
I'd cringe when I'd see his name on the team sheet last year and while I may not have been as vocal as Yankee I can say I actually hated him playing for us.
I ate my slice of humble pie after seeing him preseason and actually stuck him in my dreamteam (£2.5 million)
Ramsey will be our Lampard mark my words.
With your predictions so far this summer 1989, he'll be lucky to be our Djemba-Djemba now
Peeman wrote:I thought we were very good today and the other night albeit against limited opposition. But we have the bones of a decent squad and if we add the 3, 4 or 5 top quality signings to put a bit of meat on the bones I would be happy.
I will argue with the AKB's that the meat should have been added earlier in the window and I do still want him gone but we all know he aint going nowhere but I'll get behind The Arsenal coz it has to be done or else it'll be a long miserable season.
Ok I give up......did you copy and paste that from summer 2012, summer 2011 or summer 2010 ?

Like the saddoe who keeps going back to the same bar because he happened to pull there once, I have got to stop coming on this thread. Nothing to see but the U S byaatching and moaning worse than AW at 4th officials.
I'm off, see you all on the 2nd Sept. I'll bring popcorn and tissues just in case those funboys pop out on SSN.

Ok, I take that back. Ramsey will be the Welsh Denilson.
Quartz I agree with that (although unfortunately imo Walcott is nowhere near as clinical as he should be) - as I've said before neither are wingers. I just don't understand how Podolski's work rate gets slammed by so many people with no mention as to Walcott on the other wing.
Karim Benzema's agent has quelled speculation of a possible transfer to Arsenal, stating that the striker wants to remain at Real Madrid.
Talking to the French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche, Benzema's agent, Karim Djaziri, said: "We can not fight against the rumours, but I assure you Karim will not go to Arsenal. There has never been any discussions and no contact has been established."
There had been talk that the imminent arrival of Gareth Bale would push Benzema out of Madrid, but Djaziri confirmed his client is in discussions over a new contract. "We are working on a contract extension for three years," he said. "Discussions are taking place quietly, without deadline. Karim could well end his career at Real, the club of his dreams."
The French international's snub is another setback for Arsène Wenger, having already failed to land Gonzalo Higuaín or Luis Suárez.
