As I said a very long time ago we will not net spedn more than 15/20 million.
He will now fill his boots and the budget with a Flamini,Cabaye and a prospect or two from Auxerre or close by.
Its done over nailed on !
if they signed him I would be seriously seriously pissed off - for me he is better than shrek and exactly the type of explosive striker we need God I would love it if we signed him
3 months of waiting for 'super quality' and the result of us working day and night analysing every single player in the world......and we arrive at a £17m bid for the average Cabaye who wouldn't even be a first choice for us and the third best CDM we had 5 years ago on a free transfer

Again I cant get my head around the story that a club would make a 10m bid for a player and then was it was rejected, they come back in with a 17m bid - is there no figures in between ? That would be a 70% increase in our bid so if we are trying not to look desperate, increasing the bid by 70% is not the way to go Of course you could argue that the very fact that we are trying to sell cabaye is showing up our desperation and that is a theory that I am on board with
As good a player as ozil is, and he is a good player, I don't see the point in signing a player like him - that being said I would rate him better than cazorla (and that is no slight on santi cos he too is a quality player )

Scouting team earning their keep I see. After supposedly scouring the four corners of the globe for the world's best talent we've arrived at probably the most predictable player - decent player, likes to pass it round, pretty cheap, French, at a shit club so easy to tempt away.

We def need defensive reinforcements but Wenger seems to be firing the scattergun at every disenfranchised midfielder in UEFA. Now I think Mata is superb and would be a great get but we still need defensive reinforcements. I don't think Wenger actually plans his transfer windows - seems to wait for opportunity. Ps I thought Poldi and Giroud saved as at the cottage - Fulham actually controlled some long stretches of that match.
Also - if Poldi leaves then Wenger needs to be sacked - not only is he a talent but do you see his enjoyment? He loves it - what enthusiasm - give me 10 more of him instead of sulking or arrogant overpaid under performing wankers any day.
8 years of absolute negligence and you think Wenger needs to be sacked IF podolski leaves?
Wenger needs to go regardless!
No I meant that decision alone would be grounds if it were to come to pass. Did you read that whole post and just try and find a negative?

Add to that check list 'plays in the position that least needs strengthening' and you have the perfect transfer formula for the Self Harmer
I would honestly keep all of the money in the bank for when a manager with more than 3 brain cells comes along rather than spunk £17m on this overrated plodder
If this is even remotely true, which it most likely isn't, it leaves me feeling like
This isn't what we need! It feels like more of a luxury purchase rather than the essential transfers that we need to improve the team dramatically, i.e. a keeper, central defender and a battling midfielder. Once those have been locked down we then need a top class striker, and then he can spunk whatever he has left on someone like di Maria.
