Not necessarily Cesc although knowing Wenger that would be most likely, i'd be very surprised if Wenger wasn't getting a bit sick of AA. Not just the fact that like Wenger he can't keep his mouth shut but also that as a player he goes from the sublime to the ridiculous and a bit too often the ridiculous..Then there is Theo, i'm sure his days are numbered.

If he gets pissed off with arshavins public comments can you imagine how pissed off he must get when he reads dithering hill-woods tripe ?
As a player with pure talent I feel that arshavin is 2nd only to the great Dennis Bergkamp in the last 30 years but I do agree that last season he didnt appear committed enough on occasions. There are mitigating factors to a point (wrong position, shite team-mates) but at the end of the day the guy simply has to work harder to justify his income although I still hope we dont sell him.

Theo will not be sold this summer.....nor next summer....nor the summer after that so we are stuck with him  Wenger doesnt do mistakes but if he did they would be the biggest fcuk ups in the world
AA is gifted...but 2nd? I shall agree that Bergkamp was the most gifted player..but I think if anyone should get 2nd place it's Cesc. I couldn't give a crap about what anyone on this forum says about him.....Cesc is one of THE most gifted player we had in the last few years...and I hope he stays at Arsenal for the next 5 years........... :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

You say that like no one likes him, i think you will find most of us think he is our best player and has been for a few years now and rate him very highly.

As for Augie's point i think he is referring to the individual ability that AA has not necessarily the total contribution he makes from game to game. Cesc pulls the strings in almost every game he plays for us so for me he is a much better player, but AA has exceptional individual ability he just doesn't use it enough..

I hear what you say Radford . The reason people are 'excited' about it is just because Wenger doesn't buy 29 year old 'stars', particularly of the English variety and that's why it's got so much coverage.
I happen to think that he would bring a lot to our squad if, and it's a big if, he's not held back by persistent injuries. Skilful, goalscorer, versatile, good acceleration, works hard etc

As for Arshavin being 2nd to Dennis in skill terms...erm Thierry?!?!

i am licking my lips with the thought of having joe cole and keeping cesc at arsenal next season.add that rvp, chamakh, arsharvin if he can get his game together then we will have one hell of a chance at the prem lge.wenger seems adament about getting the defence right.we have to be more solid and compact as a team and i feel if we can conceade 10-12 less next season then we can win trophies and may'be just be serious contenders for the champs lge.there is no doubt that schwarzer will be arsenal's keeper next season,is he better than almunia, yes but i don't think he's in the top 4 or 5 keepers in the prem lge although some might say on last season he was.i think wenger will bring in another couple of defenders and i think we should all remain positive for next season.we could have so many attacking options that i can see us topping the ton mark.all we have to do is improve the team and squad and be better defensively-then i think we will be champions.

Ha, I am missing my fix of daily Joe Cole talk. The depressing thing is when he's in a Spurs shirt and the mood of this thread turns to pure anger. It'll be a sight to behold

I am very calm about Joe Cole.

Nice signing if he signs for us, but if he does not then there are other possibilities for attacking midfield/half striker.

Loic Remy or Yoann Gourcouff for starters.

To be fair Quartz, you don't appear to be one for outbursts of emotion.
