Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Says it all really :cussing:

Wenger probably said that with Park's "adaption period" over, we will go on to win the quadruple next season

Tell me it wasn't farrington ?

My only regret is that he didn't make the announcement prior to season ticket renewals - they would have been lucky to sell 5% of tickets if fans knew for sure

I'm confused here teaching my son about loyalty. He was his captain and he loved him last year and now I have nothin to say to him. He just said "but he knows we all loved him right" he's 6 years old and this is a terrible lesson. :(

It must have been painfully obvious to Gazidis and Wenger that van Persie was going to leave after their meeting provided several confrontation points and no contract renewal discussions, yet they continued to spin this bollocks about how they're confident he'll stay blah blah blah to ensure that season ticket renewals are sorted before the fans realised they've been shafted (again). In any other industry duping fans into buying a product on the basis of misrepresentations like that would be at least false advertising :cussing:

I felt up until today that this summer would see rvp head to barca with David villa coming to us or with him going to Madrid with higuain joining us but now I do think any half decent player won't want to join a club that continually loses it's best players with them citing a lack of ambition as the reason

The window lickers are already texting into Sky Sports News. The latest was some baboon who is "happy to support a club that continuously turn a profit"

I think the club need to counter this statement asap including details of what our plans actually are. We are a publicly traded company. The clubs future plans have to be shared with the shareholders and if it differs to what RvP has been told then the directors must be removed from their positions
