was a nice backheel by Giroud, he pretty much did nothing else
wasn't even a nuisance. Worst I've seen him play.

I thought Rambo was quite good.

That was a great move to be fair and a great backheel. Pretty simple side-foot finish and Ramsey decides to take a touch and stumble.

Simply not good enough.

New striker needed if we`re serious about even challenging.

Even if Giroud improves we need another striker, another two if Wenger won't play Pod there

Giroud was shit yesterday

When will Wenger realise he's not a lone striker, he simply isn't quick enough. We really needed Poldi yesterday.

I've given up on that one.

It's crystal clear that Wenger doesn't rate Podolski as a striker. Giroud has hardly been great, but his position in the team looks unchallenged... and even when he doesn't play, Wenger seems to prefer Gervinho or Theo ahead of Podolski.

It's an odd one, but it's a waste of energy to consider Podolski anything other than a wide player under Wenger.

I genuinely believe that if we played a 4-4-2 with Pod and Giroud up front together, Giroud would perform better, Podolski would be competing for the golden boot and we'd all be going Robin who?

Instead, we use a great striker as a fucking winger who had to cover for Gibbs and Santos being useless defenders, we use a capable striker as a lone striker when we can all see it doesnt suit him ANd we still play Gervinho :x

Where's that Wenger thread...

4-4-2 would suit us better and bring more out of both of the players but Robin who - really?

Despite a dip in form van Judas is still easily one of the best strikers in the world and one who won games for us for fun last year and basically won the title for United by single-handedly winning them game after game this season. And Giroud would still have the touch and finishing of a donkey and Podolski would still be a very good but far from world class player.

Correct but, as a team we would perform far better than last season, maybe compete for a trophy?

I dont want one world class player and a team of idiots, I want a team of well peforming class players and the only way to get that is by getting the best out of the players we have. I genuinely believe we have good players, but lack motivation and/or played out of position.

EDIT: Pdolski is a top top player. Really, I think (if played correctly) he would be one of the best strikers in the PL. I really do rate him. Giroud? Well, not world class but certainly not useless.

G88 is def right though, I'm sure Podolski got one game up front (was swapping with Feo)
and that's it, he was brilliant v WestHam
and got dropped not long after, it is a weird situation...

DIdn't he start up front against Sunderland first game of the season? Missed that game through work but must have put in the world history in the performance of football to warrant never being played there again.
