The Yaya Sanogo lack of Progress Thread
Re: The Yaya Sanogo Progress Thread
Look, if anyone bothers to check (no I wouldn't either) you would see previous posts from me stating I think the guy is an atrocious player and not worthy HOWEVER it annoys me that most on this forum can NEVER find a positive in anything.
Any time there is even the slightest bit of positive and someone takes a glass half full approach 20 others come in with a cricket bat and smash the same glass.
So, I think Campbell has potential, I think Sanogo is rubbish but good on him for scoring 4, I think we have made some really good signings, I think Giroud is actually a reasonable player, I think Jack will improve, I think Chezny is good, I am positive about the coming season and I'm glad we won the FA Cup.
Ready fire aim.

The comments on this thread that you're taking exception to are not in response to posts like yours saying "good on him". They're in response to posters suggesting that this is evidence of his progression into an asset for the squad this season. And a WUM's vanity thread along the same lines.Swifty wrote:Look, if anyone bothers to check (no I wouldn't either) you would see previous posts from me stating I think the guy is an atrocious player and not worthy HOWEVER it annoys me that most on this forum can NEVER find a positive in anything.

Absolutely agree with this ^
The reality is that le postman is nowhere (and I mean nowhere near) the level required to play for a top club and maybe he never will be. I agree 100% that sending him on loan would be best for him and the club and after scoring those goals his confidence might be boosted going into a new club, however I will not agree that he could be an important back up player for the squad like some deluded members are suggesting and if he is retained, even as 4th choice, then it is a shocking indictment of our ambitions and standards

Have to say though, that if we are being honest most of us already feel convinced that he will be le cock's first choice back up to giroud

He is only 21, his level isn't static.
I think he should have some time on the pitch on Sunday and if he does good place on the bench v Palace
world cup players are behind with pre-season, if he can help afc win games at the start season, good

In the Telegraph today, the Players' ratings, for Sanogo....'Such a misfit in this free-flowing side, one wonders why he is picked. Scuffed badly wide when put through and did his best to mess up Ramsey's goal. 4/10'.
For once a journo who sees what we see!!!

Are we running a football club or a fucking charity? A player like that has no business playing for a club like Arsenal. He's not just sub-standard, he is so out of his depth it's embarrassing. So many moves breaking down because his touch and passing are dire, by the second half the midfielders were actually avoiding passing to him.
How fucking long do we have to watch him potter about before Wenger finally accepts it as another failed experiment? The bloke is never going to cut it at this level no matter how much game time he gets. He offers nothing and is no better than any young striker you'll find on the books of a League One club.

Considering we still have Diaby on the books I'd say it's the latter.northbank123 wrote:Are we running a football club or a fucking charity? It will continue in this comedy fashion while we're still winning, but as soon as he starts costing us points the crowd will be all over him like an ill-fitting suit.
I cannot believe we have started the season with this piece of shit up front - Wenger vanity project mkII.
Re: The Yaya Sanogo Progress Thread
Think I'd rather have Gervinho up front. Offered absolutely nothing today. It's laughable for a club that apparently has ambitions to win the title to be starting the season with him up front.
Miles away from being good enough for Arsenal but he's on the pitch through no fault of his own...

We'd be better off adding an extra midfielder and playing without a striker, Sanogo is completely abysmal.

Re: The Yaya Sanogo Progress Thread
and how do Campbell and Gnabry feel about it ? - how is it helping their development eh ?
gnabry has such a lovely first touch and great passing vision; campbell has pace, quick instincts and a great shot on him.
yet, they don't even get a seat on the bench, its barmy.
an 8 million quid a year vanity project, thats what we've become.

Re: The Yaya Sanogo Progress Thread
if i remember right, when Kanu and adebayor came, its was only a game or two before they showed their quality and soon got goals.
i'm not seeing it this time.

I seriously think the deluded one thinks this bloke is the new TH14.
