I am gonna put this with the existing Spurs threads....this is the third one we have it's too much!!!!

I have written before here that I am not laughing at their stadium redevelopment, they have big plans for changing the High Street and could make a lot of money from property deals.
But more than that they are trying to use the stadium for the new NFL franchise which has been mooted for London.
Not sure if they will get it as Wembley may be more suitable, but it could mean an earner for them.

i don't think they can fill 40,000 regularly let alone 52. west ham would be the same. they just don't have the national or global reach. west ham have already said that 4,000 tickets per game will be given out free to local kids to fill the ground, but at least they'll have the athletics revenues, but the spuds won't.

what the spuds are doing is daft - the extra ticket sales revenue for big games will get swallowed up the loan interest and extra ground costs.

it not hard to imagine both the spuds and united in 10 years playing in the championship to stadiums 50% full.

It was in the late 1970's, to discuss the idea of building a new joint ground.
It lasted just 20 minutes and was brought rapidly to a close.

Indeed there was. The idea was to share a stadium at Alexandra Palace where the racecourse used to be. Obviously, it never got further than discussion.
