Re: Wenger Out protest, Tuesday 7th March.
Hi guys great stuff, am at work and quite busy so will post more later when I get home . Pleasure to be a part of it and meet some of you. Keep it up, not sure how many I can get up to London from Brighton for, but others. An step into the breach . I will continue with the social media protest with the sponsors message on Twitter and Facebook, and urge others to keep doing this wether their at/in the ground or not . If you can't do that send the hashtags in an email to the club, although any of the key people Arsenal their are emails get screened but any which are you can .
Two things on expand on when I get a chance to post later, one I think the megaphone idea is fantastic and a couple of us mention that last night at the end and secondly think carefully for each protest how you do it, try and vary it so that people don't get protest fatigue . For example at certain games like West Ham and Manchester United at home it would not be a good idea to go past the away fans (in fact the police probably wouldn't allow you to do that)

Saturday too soon? Protest gathering outside the Director's Entrance early doors?
strange one Saturday with it being the FA Cup match v non league opposition.
last night was effective because we got beat - would it have got so much coverage had we not? Possibly not.
there are 2 home games early April that I think should be targeted v Man City and West Ham (City because we could well lose that game and West Ham because if we do lose v City then the mood will be even worse than now)
(unfortunately I got there a bit late yesterday so just made it as you all came down to outside the armoury.
hoping to get there for the start next time!)

March, or just meet in numbers , get the banners out, then spend an hour berating them from outside?

That's a good idea. I reckon most of them drive in via the main coach entrance on Queensland Rd, so we should aim to get there before they and the team bus arrive.
March from Highbury again at 2.30, get to here for 3. Let the players and Wenger see for themselves as well.

Good point think carefully about sat , It is Lincolns cup final, there will be 9000 of them there and the media will be more interested in them as it is really their day. And quite rightly so. But I think Man City and West Ham are definite options but again I wouldn't march past the away fans perhaps start or just wait by the armoury and go from there .
I better go and get back to work that's the trouble with this forum
Re: Wenger Out protest, Tuesday 7th March.
Its a tough one really because if nothing happens on Saturday then it looks like fans are only doing it when its a game we're likely to lose.
One of the things I keep hearing Le Fraud say is this is a reaction to 1 or 2 bad results totally out of tune with how the fans are feeling.
This has been building for years now and win or lose or draw he needs to be hounded out which probably means protesting at every game and hopefully gathering numbers with every passing match. The more people begin to join the marches outside the more chance there is of some proper demonstration in the ground.
A lot of people would have been looking on last night to see how it passed off before deciding whether to join in, in the future.

Don't think you just want to protest at games we are likely to lose, should be all games.Gunner Rob wrote:mzk90 wrote:So, what's next?

Felt the same..it was a great feeling...especially the "We want you out" chant. So glad I was there.Jumpers For Goalposts wrote:The more I think about last night, the more I realise that walking along holding the big NO NEW CONTRACT banner was the proudest I've been to be a Gooner for years.
How sad is that?????

Well done to everyone who turned out last night, was great to be there and meet Jumpers for Goalposts, xissential and many others who aren't on the forum. Really pleased with the amount of coverage too. Every newspaper has an article about it online, and there's even coverage on a few back pages today (including a photo in the Star).
Shows what a bubble some of our Emirates era fans live in, you could tell many of them clearly had no idea what the march was about or why we'd feel this way. Let's hope even more people turn up to the next one on Saturday.

In my opinion, the fans can protest without organizing a march every time - the banners can be displayed at the armoury with fans gathering to chant "no new contract" etc, and maybe they could be sneaked into the ground to be displayed on tv ? There is a Lincoln Gooner on here that maybe could sneak in a banner for ye, cos they probably wouldn't be searched as much as our fans at the mo ?

Guys I think you need to be at every game...if I could I would come up Saturday again but it's too soon after last night for me. But I will come to the Man.U or W.H. game. I think it has to be every game it has to be relentless, that the protests are not results driven but are fueled by an unrelenting DEMAND for change.
Wenger has already said that everything is fine at the club, they just need some positive results..starting Saturday..... He knows, or thinks anyway, that Saturday is pretty much a banker, so he is prepared to make a statement like that.So whatever the margin of victory come Saturday and....well you all know what to expect.

Re: Wenger Out protest, Tuesday 7th March.
i like the idea of starting at the armoury - think that could generate bigger numbers at the start and great idea to target the directors entrance.
we need to make it as uncomfortable for them as possible. only way they will get the message
and yes fair points there probably does need to be something at every game from now on.

Not sure how it works elsewhere, but the stewards outside the block I'm in don't give a shit whether you have banners in your bag.
I had my banner plus two others and they didn't bat an eyelid. The are only concerned with security issues.
I had my banner out one side of the North bank and DT had a massive banner the other side.
You can get banners in (and lets face it, the amount of fan club banners in the ground they can hardly complain
).

WELL DONE! To Everyone who took part last night – Absolutely Proud and Chuffed to be a Gooner (It feels like an age – since I felt that warm fizz/buzz about THE Arsenal).
I wanted some advice on getting a Banner made (professionally). I made my own and a very decent effort it is 6ft x 4ft – But I realised that if it rains the Red Dye will run on the White material and it could end up looking like something out of an episode of “Dexter” .
So if any of those who have had their banners made by a company etc can you post the details on here please? I feel certain there may be other Gooners who might need similar info etc.
Also as soon as a time etc is set for the next Protest/Banner Walk can you post it up on here...I

Some really good points there. Particularly how Wenger (and the media clowns) has passed disharmony off as basically "fickle fans upset by one or two results". Also if (when) we win 6-0 and get through to the next round of the cup, the fucking media buffoons will all shite out of them with stuff like "where are those protesters now?".GTG wrote:Its a tough one really because if nothing happens on Saturday then it looks like fans are only doing it when its a game we're likely to lose.
