week 1 had the audacity to say "take all the time you need"
end week 2/start week 3 pussied out and asked another manager to email me asking me to come back early, not because the project i was working on was going down the pan without me there, but because "i was running out of leave to take"
then middle week 4, a few days before i came back to work, he hired another PM to take over the main project I was running. wouldnt have minded if he hired him at the start of my time off. madness
lucky for him it's taken less than a week for the whole project to go down the shitter. karma's a bitch you absolute *word censored*
I had a similar thing some years back - I was working in the civil service at the time - My Mum had passes away...and the dept head said exact same thing....but was soon telephoning me to come back etc....stinks to high heaven.

Well, if seasonal bush fires escalate in portugal this coming summer, and wipe out their terracotta and lemon villa, then that is karma.
