The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

you must suffer some really dark days when it don't happen
Perhaps resign ourselves to 3 years of dark days..dark years as it were....preparing like that might make it easier...but set a timer for 3 years time when he couldnt possibly sign a new contract could he??

And what if he goes upstairs in the club...will a new manager be hit with wengers bolloxology from above...worrying years ahead!!!!!

The dark days / years are coming :) :)

Slag him off all you want guys but Flamini shows more passion/spirit and guts than any of our so called superstars.

If a few more of them showed the same commitment ( Wilshere for instance) we would be a much more formidable outfit.

On present form neither Ozil or Wilshere deserve a starting place in the line up.

For me the midfield should be based around Flamini, Ramsey, The Ox,

We need a CB and a striker, that's all.

Have faith in the Flammable one!

who will it be?

I am seeing Carvalho and Rabiot as players we are getting.

Surely we are not getting both.

I hope we are getting a striker as well

Peace

We've apparently joined the chavs in activating Remy's release clause.

What the fuck is Wenger playing at?

About time we started competing with the chavs instead of bending over for them.

This summer for me has been about 2 transfers.
Costa and Fabregas- we needed them. Mourinho got em

Flamini was great for us in 2007/08 alongside Fabregas. Sadly for him since then he has spent 6 seasons as a bit-part player and it shows. Tactically he's not clever enough, physically he's just too slow and too rash, technically he is short of even what is expected from a DM. It's nice to see a bit of passion but it's no substitute for quality. Even those who were hailing him as the second coming of Jesus Christ last year have acknowledged that he's not up to it.

Been asking for a while actually.

I don't get why our genius would wait till Chelsea have shown interest to go in for him. Or is he trying to give Maureen a taste of his own medicine?

If this was true, going head to head with a mega rich club when trying to buy a player would rank right up there with the most stupid things le cock has done - if you identify a player you want to buy, then get in there and do the deal whilst the chavs have their focus elsewhere

Agreed. Wenger is desperate and clueless.

According to sky transfer centre, hertha berlin have agreed a 3yr contract with kalou and are close to finalising the deal :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana:

Also on that website they are reporting that roma have agreed a deal to sign raboit (£11.9m I think) from psg - cant say I am bothered by this, but what is it with roma this summer cos they seem to be chasing every player we are linked with and, unless I'm mistaken, they have signed two of them as well
