Back in May all the talk was about Remy, the talk died out as we were linked to all sorts of players, he was all but signed to the victims and I hoped we had heard the last of him but no like the proverbial bad penny he has popped back again and now he looks like our only remaining option.... Honestly cannot believe we're going for Remy now. His buy-out clause was well-known and Wenger made no attempt to get him or show any interest even when he was close to joining Liverpool. It's not even like he was thinking of low balling QPR by waiting until the end of the window because the buy-out clause is a fixed fee.

It just confirms that Wenger had no intention at all of signing a striker over the summer and has now desperately made this move in light of Giroud's injury. Remy made it clear he wanted to join, and I hope he does seeing as we'll either be getting him or no one, but I wouldn't blame him for going to Chelsea who immediately went for him once Torres was off.
