It's a good result and puts us back in control of our own destiny, but.......



.....there are still a few games to go and as much as everyone is pointing out the tough games Villa have, it is worth remembering that we have a few of our own too.
Overall I'm much more optimistic than I was a fortnight ago and I do think we'll do it. I'm just going to wait a bit longer before I get too excited.

I've seen us snatch defeat from the jaws of victory before. :wink:

Spud, the real thing to remember is that now there is no gap to chase, if we're chasing a 6/9 point gap then it's hard work but now it's not there.

The team needs to focus and thank their lucky stars for being bailed out of the shit.

Give it a few weeks and when the squad is back to full strength then it'll be a different story.

Spuddie, I've noticed that you're starting to use the word 'overall' quite frequently.
Can we also expect phrases such as 'dropped a bit feesically' and 'until the last minute'?!!

GREAT result. Sad to say but Lennon was having a great game. Him and Walcott are gonna have a right battle for that England winger spot.

As Lennon is probably third choice rightwinger for the U21's (his performances for them have been poor of late), I would be surprised if that was the case for a season or two. Long term? Maybe, depends on Lennon learning how to cross
