Bloody online ticket office

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

what really annoys me is the points people have made, with regards to red and silver memberships.

I am a red member and on the away scheme. I have missed 3 league games this year home and away.Newcastle away due to work, man usa and scousers at home as i am a red, couldnt get a ticket.

With it being my first year on the away scheme, the amount of time of work, money etc needed has certainly surprised me.

You travel up and down the country every other week, getting up at 4am for boro away etc, but when the big games come round at home, no sorry you cant have a ticket but joe who is a silver and been to 1 game this season can go. ITS A DISGRACE :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The fact gold members, who before were silvers can keep there silver memberships and buy tickets for there friends to go, who only want to go as its united is also a DISGRACE :banghead: .

I sent an e-mail to them asking why despite buying tickets at 10.15am last Thursday i was unable to secure two together for me and my son.

They sent this reply (fuckers didnt even read my mail):

Thank you for your email. We are aware that problems occur when tickets go on sale for major games; this match being the biggest ever to be staged at Emirates. Our technical team are always working to improve
the booking system. Unfortunately when purchasing the tickets online
several factors can be a problem; ie heavy traffic, your computer and
internet provider. The telephone lines also experienced problems due to
the fact that on this occasion we had at least 300 callers trying to
gain access at the same time.

We understand that you must be feeling extremely frustrated and angry
when your attempt to buy tickets is not successful. Unfortunately we
are unable to help all of our supporters with tickets for this game and
as you are aware, tickets go on sale on a first come first serve basis
to our silver members. As this is a UEFA competition we are obliged
under UEFA ruling to allocate a percentage of tickets for this fixture
to UEFA; these are circumstances beyond our control.

Please be aware however, this game will be shown live on ITV1, we
understand this is not the same has being at Emirates, but hopefully the
team will be successful and we will be going to the Champions League
final.
