I hate fosters and Stella.

Amstel, Grolsh and Staropramen are my favourites. failing that 1664 will do.

To be honest in most pubs in london you cant taste much of a diffrence anyway, infact my brother worked in a pub once where if the Stella ran out they just put a barrell or hieniken on the stella tap, and the punters did not even notice.

If the beer is looked after well (has a head and some bubbles etc) then Amstell or Staropramen are the perfect pint.

Sorry, White Lemonade (or 7up at a push). Thus the perceived lady-ness of the drink... :?

Damn tasty though, so you can launch a quick half dozen or more into yourself half way through a session and then they will suddenly sneak up on you...

That sounds lovely DB10. I'd love to take up drinking right now and mix myself one of them.

But I can't even legally buy myself alcohol. Guess I'll stick with water....

Glad to see that my post about taking the Doris out has turned into a discussion about iiegal alcohol!

However who mentioned Fosters whether "super chilled" or not needs to be slated! DB10 was it really you or does your wife know your password?

And you said Irishmen can drink Rebel!

God what have I done? I have created a monster!

Thats it! Shes hooked! I cant belive how much she loved and was genuinely in love with the whole thing. :D

In The Gunners pub she loved all the memrobilia and I was amazed how much she actually knew (for a girl) about the Arsenal. We got in The Rocket no problems and enjoyed a couple in there although from talking to regulars it was quieter than normal. Then over the road to Tommy Flynns or Phibbers or whatever it seems to be called now.Missus was dead chuffed we went in there as she got to have a hug with Stewpot from Grange Hill! :D

The Doris has always had a soft spot for RVP but I could not believe what happened when he scored! I jumped up out my seat but she jumped up legged it past me down the steps to the barrier at the bottom and started dancing around like a mentalist hugging anyone in site! Lunacy!

After the game which she obviously loved it was another drinking session in The Gunners and The Arsenal Tavern and back to The Gunners where we ended up in the garden at about 9pm singing along to The Away Boyz CD (which she then bought) and singing anti-spud songs with some woman called Gaynor who was trying to shag anything in a Arsenal shirt! Happy days! :P

Anyhow brilliant day and I have had to promise to take her a couple of more times at least this season. To finance it I may have to sell a couple of internal organs although Im not sure there is a market for Guinness sodden kidneys!

Bring on the season! Feel much more confident now after yesterdays display! Blimey I even thought Eboue played well! Loved Mad Jens showing he is still .....mad! How well did Gibbs play! Thought he looked great considering!

C'mon Arsenal! 8)
