Almunia

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

cusamano, i agree with your list, with a BIG exception for frey. i think he's actually worse than flappianski.

and i'd add victor to that list, actually in first place. total class, and still plays in brazil, which means he could be bought for under 5M pounds. and he's second choice for the national team for a while, meaning no work permit troubles.

Alumunia did improve at the end of last season and shouldnt be judged on 2 bad performances.
However i believe his improvement only makes him an AVERAGE goalkeeper and therefore is NOT good enough to be arsenal number 1.

Jens and Seaman may have had stronger defences in front of them but Alumunia problem is that his decision making is Sh-t and sadly this an attribute which may get better has he gets more experienced and we can't afford to wait around to see if this happens.

We should have signed Given in Jan (who was a difference between the teams on sat). AW should now be looking for a new keeper but sadly i doubt this will happen in the near future
