I quite liked Flamini, was sad when he went.
He had a good attitude and I like that he always stayed to applaud traveling fans at away games even on a bad day when the rest had buggered off down the tunnel.
The way he left was a disappointment, but I dont think it's fair to compare him to adebayor. Different situation completely IMO. Flamini wasn't flirting with AC Milan for 2 seasons before hand.
He had 2 offers on the table at the end of his contract and he chose AC, simple as that.

£25m for Chamakh is the most ridiculous story so far this year. He was available for 8m a few months ago but no-one would pay it because he is almost out of contract. That is awful journalism and the usual kind of bullshit that comes out when there's not much PL footy going on.
Flamini had one really good year with us, for me he is not the solution, he is small and lightweight too, NOT what we need in central midfield. If he wanted to come back as a squad player, fine, but I expect he would want £50k+ a week and he isn't worth that.
Wenger handled the whole Flamini siutation awfully. When he refused to sign a new contract 6 months from the end, Wenger should have given him an ultimatum, show your loyalty or you'll be dropped and Diarra comes in. Instead, he wouldn't give Diarra a chance so pissed him off, then didn't offer Flamini the contract he wanted, so pissed him off and we lost both of them. Poor management.

yeah but you know what the scousers are like. they'll blow up the transfer fee just to gain some interest and the media spotlight£25m for Chamakh is the most ridiculous story so far this year. tbh torres for me is overated. I can't see him ever scoring 20 goals in the PL again. Sure a quality player, but he's the favourite to be top scorer in the WC for some reason

I remember when spain won EURO 2008, and Cesc played fantastic, and was the their best player, without a shadow of a doubt. But Torres got all the plaudits, for scoring 2 goals and sitting on the bench for the rest.
Sorry I went off topic, I just fucking hate the way Liverpool get treated like fucking emperors by the media

apart from the sun of course, they were horrible to them

I wonder if the Left Back position in Arsenal is the Football equivalent of the drummer's job in Spinal Tap!?????

I'd happily see Flamini back in the team tomorrow - he's got a great engine, was the prefect foil for Cesc the Genius and he always gave 101% and although small can tackle as hard as Billy Bremmner used to!

was only making a point and yes i know there are a few worse then him but not many, he pissed all over marseille and done the same to us, waiting till his contract ran down so he would get the big signing on fee, if he was good enough he would be playing every week for milan cos lets face facts they arent the milan of old .marcengels wrote:GreedybayorREBEL GOONER wrote:£lamini is a c**t, he cunted off marseille to sign for us and he cunted off us to go to milan,

Flamini was a free agent unlike them pair of *word censored* Cashley and Greedy who were trying to negoiate moves while still under contract.Flamini had a choice of offers and choose Milan.Dont forget Wenger was willing to sell Flamini to Brum.
When a player lets his contract run out like Sol and he joins us we love them when it happens the other way we call the player a *word censored*.Hypocrites
