Wenger won't sign anyone in January, not a chance.
Does booing a goalkeeper really make him worse?? How?? He's a headless chicken already so it won't affect him making stupid decisions like for the third goal against WBA (so it might actually do some good)! It won't affect him catching crosses because he already flaps at them, it won't affect his shot stopping because booing him won't stop him from diving for a shot so boo the useless fecker and get him out, the same with Flappy because Wenger will NOT do what is necessary for this team, he hasn't for 5 years and he won't change now. The only way to do it unfortuantely is to make it impossible for the player to remain in the team. This is the legacy that Wenger has built by putting mediocre players on a pedestal and not replacing them when it's obvious to everyone single person with an interest in the game that they are not good enough.

"Poor guy" yes. But I'd prefer that we destroyed the guy and got rid in the next couple of games than be nice and polite and let Wenger stick with him for the season.

If he used to be brilliant at a former club or with us, then I'd say stick with him and try to build his confidence. But average Al is in his 30's and has never been any fucking good!

And anyway. So the guy gets crucified and effectively forced out by the fans. He will still be something none of us will ever be.....a multi millionaire!!!
I agree with this 100% I will join in at the top of my voice when the crowd boo's the clown. I would love to have Wengers names boo'd but there is as much chance of us beating the chavs on Sunday!
They both piss me off , thinking about it makes me blood boil.

Just put this on another forum and have said this for the last year or so...

Almunia has not got any better over the past 2 or 3 years he and Fabianski make the same mistakes, positional, comanding thier box and coming for crosses. This is to much of a co-incidence for me Wenger has to look at the coaching of our GK's. This is not saying it's all the GK coaches fault but I would say that if both your top GK's are making the same mistakes then something has to be going wrong in training.

Get a GK in who has lots of experience and then get a GK coach who has played in the PL in the past few years

I want Coco and Flappy gone as much as anyone, but I'll never agree booing them whilst they are playing for us is gonna help the team or change anything. The team must come first. Booing them will shatter their already fragile confidence, cause disaster on the pitch for the team, and Wenger will still play them anyway. :(

Hmmm, I understand those sentiments DB10, and the support that Almunia received after his penalty save was loud and long, he's had flags made with his name on, had his name sung, I think the majority of our fans have been pretty fair to him, so if this kind of support isn't going to give him confidence, then a good bout to barracking is the only thing left open for him, and his oppo.

Oh, I agree he is shit, but unfortunately he is the best of what we have (that Wenger will play). I certainly won't sing his name or make flags for him but I just have never agreed that booing a bloke you have on the pitch in your coolours will help the team.

It's not Almunia's fault hes not good enough to be the number 1 for a club looking to round up between 85-90 points per season.

The blame for this rests squarely at somebody else's door.

Me neither, but I'm not going to have a go at fans who do, I personally think that players these days get away very lightly when it comes to this, I've seen players over the years, (pre the premiership boom) ruined by our crowd, sometimes, unjustly. The 'Eboue incident' would have been laughed at in the late 70's.

I think I've found a flaw in the whole booing of our 'keepers idea.

How do you "boo" a 'keeper :?

OK, fair enough if he makes a mistake everyone gets on his back and gives him some verbals but if we had ___________ (insert your 'keeper of choice) and he made a mistake the same would happen. A 'keeeper is only in possition of the ball for minutes during a game, usually when one of 3 things happen,

1. When he receives a backpass whitch is usually booted away promptly, not easy boo for that split second.

2. When he makes a save, now even for us that would be pretty dumb

3. When he concedes a goal, fair enough I'll give you that one, but that brings me back to the start of this reply this would happen no matter who was playing between the sticks.

Just an observation

If it's a bread and butter save, then it's ironic cheering Rossy,

Got a nasty feeling that Flappy is gonna chuck one in his own net in the 2nd half. Someone that shit will definitely f**k up if Partizan put him under some real pressure.

And what then? We'll need to start an "Almunia In" petition.
