It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Arshavin was just Arshavin. He didn't perform any better than usual.

I also must add that Arshavin has been
dire for his national side of late.

I left at 3-0, I wanted to leave at half-time but decided to give them a chance. I think that chance lasted 3-4 minutes. bye bye Ireland, best of luck for the future (you won't EVER see another cent of my money again)

SACK TRAPATTONI
I dont see what that sort of support will accomplish?

Poor attitude to have and the leaving early is stupid, you missed 2 goals and nearly a great comeback.
Hardly stupid when 100% of the Republic refer to Fridays initial 60 minute performance as the worst ever witnessed.

I nearly missed a great comeback? wow, dam I nearly missed something that never happened. I'm so stupid :banghead:
Eh, 100% percent in your mind maybe.

Dont get your type, leaving a match in the 50 minute because we werent winning? :?

Against clearly a better side. What is your problem? Sorry it's just ironic, people moan so much about these "fans" at the emirates but then you go and do the same and worse.

Have been saying for couiple years now that Keane should be dropped. Only reason he aint is because of he is highest ever scorer. His chances to goals conversion is shocking.

Russia are shite.

I'm not/and haven't moaned about any fans leaving the emirates so next time you try to incorporate something you believe in, which has no connection with me, into your argument against me, think before you type.

I had reasons for leaving the match, which I fully believe were justified. I've no interest, here on, how you feel about it, because you've 'clearly' a one-track mind.

Have to say that I just dont understand leaving early from a game, especially if its just because your losing/gunna lose. Not that im into booing my team either but if i was id rather stay to the end and boo then leave early....

but i personally always stay till the end, and have never boo'd one of our players (although been close, i remember before greedybayor left me and my brother refused to boo, but also refused to sing any of his songs, whenever his chants started we just looked at each other in disgust...but he is the closest ive been to booing one of our own).

as for early leaving....i dont get it, now i understand you have the rite to leave early in disgust, but whats the point, you never know whats going to happen (actually alot of the time you do  , but you have to show your support to you team good or bad....or if you want to boo).

Now there are a few exeptions in my book to being ok to leave early....e.g.....elderly, disabled, at bit vulnerable (DB!10  ), basically not really physically up to the crush towards the stations.......BUT....if your young and in good health, trying to beat the queue at the staion is a disgrace!!!!!!!

The amount of people who walked out when the mancs went one nil up in the champions league :banghead: a couple of seasons ago after about 20mins was so unbelievable......i still cant believe it :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

M-50 I can understand the frustration you felt at being 3-0 down to russia, it was a farse, but personally no matter what the score or performance I stay till the end, its hard at times, and yes you want to go home and for it to be over, but you grit your teeth and deal with it. You've paid to watch a footy match, so stay and watch the match. :barscarf:

I just dont get early leaving for football reasons :banghead:

....feck we were awful tonight again  :banghead:

I was secretly delighted the Tallaght pikey missed the penno. Sure I wanted Oireland to win (but will lose no sleep if they don't TBH) but I just saw a diving cheating tottingham cunt miss a penno! 8)

He is the most over rated player in the history of the game. And being from Tallaght he has that chip well in place on his shoulder. It's always someone else's fault. In Dublin we view the worst of the Tallaght scum much like Engerlish people view the worst of the Scouser scum.

Not saying all people from both areas are scum, but certainly a whole fuckload of them are!

Was also delighted to see him miss, yet Dunphy etc still made excuses for the c**t. He has been Ireland's worst player in the last 2 games.
I still hope they qualify, but would love the dwarf to be out of the games by then by whatever means necessary.

I'll tell use one thing for a man to score 45 International goals for Ireland is some achievement.

More goals than the top scorers of SPAIN or ITALY.

How can he be overrated? I think just bacause he plays for Spu*s it is clouding a lot of peoples judgment. I couldnt quite believe what I was reading but each to their own.

FFS kiki that pikey *word censored* is absolute shit and most Ireland fans will tell you the very same thing. I remember being at the 1st match at croke park (fcuk ye gaa *word censored* :barscarf: ) against wales and the *word censored* was pure muck and all around me the crowd cheered when he was finally taken off 8) Cant get a game for the scum and his "career" is def on a downward spiral plus he thinks that he is better than he actually is

If any of the top strikers from Spain or Italy had been playing in all the games that Keane has played, they would have 60 or 70 goals scored. His conversion rate is shocking. Well past time he was dropped.

As I said, each to their own. But I just think anyone who scores 45 goals deserves respect. Take David Villa, he has 44 and he at the respect he gets and rightly so.

I remember reading a book about Wenger, and it mentioned a move for Robbie Keane. It may have been the book by Xavier Revoir. He may not be getting game's at Spu*s but neither is Niko Kranjcar and what a player he is.

On a sidenote, Augie, did you read the article by Pat Fenlon in The Irish Times yesterday about youth development here?

There is a column in itself about how we are going about unearthing the future wave of Irish talent and how it is hindering our progress at international level. Basically, big and strong young lads are preferred over technically gifted, yet smaller players.
