Rooney's not starting tomorrow night due to an "ankle injury", according to Ferguson.
That bloke's actually quite amusing sometimes.
Edit: And Ferguson's confirmed that Rooney has told him he wants to leave Man Utd!

I was thinking the other day how weak a team they are compared to previous seasons.
As already mentioned the golden generation (Schole and Giggs etc...) are close to retirement. Not just them but Neville, Van der Saar, Duck face is in his 30's.
SAF's not been able to strengthen and it's looking like the Glaziers are tightening the purse strings.
With this news this could be the final nail in the coffin.

We may laugh now but the end of United only means Citeh will take over. If it’s the nail in the coffin for them I would say the nail has been in our coffin since 2006!!!!!
Top 2 teams are now Chvs and Citeh for this season. Don’t think we are physically or mentally strong (on the day) to beat any of them home or away.
One thing though, despite Manure also spending way more than us, I always felt it was fair battle between us. Same cant be said with the other cretin teams in the top 2!

So it's all down to cash now. We've got £56m in the bank and if we offload Bendtner we'll have £57.5m!!
Maybe this thread will eventually beat the 637 page Joe Cole thread from the summer?!?!

I know short terms things aren't excately rosy, but in a few years will be debt free and be able to near enough match the Rubles and the Sheikhs.

I think it's all the boards fault. If they had reinvested back in 2001 he would not of scored that goal against us in 2002 and so the events that followed would not of happend. See it's all the Arsenals boards fault
