Arshavin - Cutting The Mustard?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

walcott could score 30 goals a season and you would still find reason to complain.

Maybe if he does, people would stop complaining.

I thought Feo had a reasonable game last night, even took a knock when tracking back to make a tackle. Only two players really pissed me off last night and they were Arshavin who seemed totally disinterested when he came on and Sagna for acting like a complete twat and seeing red. Other than that I have to say I am pleased with a point as too often we have dominated games only to be hit by a last minute sickener.

aa is a luxury we cant afford .the comparison with berbatov is spot on.some one said he performs one game in ten imo thats generous.he's lightweigt and gutless , ive never seen him get pissy or aggresive when he looses the ball(which is all to often) and his tracking back is without doubt the worst i've ever seen.i'd like to know his stats as i also think he has put on a substantial amount of weight since last term.as regards his providing of opps for others considering his time on the pitch and time on the ball its nothing great,nas-wils and cesc do more.as our top earner i think he is coasting and possibly looking for a move.bon voyage

I can't see how anyone can justify having a go at Theo for his recent performances. The lad has been one of our most committed players, giving a 110% every game. I remember last night at one point he lost the ball to Zabaleta then quickly chased and tackled him and took a knock for his troubles. Fucking brilliant. When did he used to do that before? Normally he'd just give up and jog back into position which for me indicates that he has finally grown up as a player and is making progress with each passing game.

Add to this the huge threat he poses going forward and we have a player on our hands. He's a real asset for us and will only get better and better.

Some of the unjust comments about Walcott show that the writer/s either knows nothing about football or that they have a pre-conceived viewpoint that will not be altered whatever.

Right on both counts when it comes to Radford.

As for Arshavin, with his attitude and laziness he's doing his best to lose the support and goodwill of even some of his biggest fans, of which I count myself among. Playing out of position or not, the guy's attitude has to improve and he needs to pull his finger out quickly!! :banghead: :banghead:

Maybe if AA23 spent less time on his clothing line, his website and his other bullshit extracaricular activities and a bit more time on a treadmill and the training pitch he might get back to business.

Oh and anyone that takes ANYTHING seriously that Imelda149 posts really hasn't been on here very long! :D

He's been shite since his return. I've questioned whether we needed him as Chamack was at the time on fire.
However, RVP last night started to show some form of old. Still looks rusty and I read AW's programme notes after the match and he said as much.

Yes, but he takes about 20 games to find his rythmn, at which point he get injured.
