Some fans are blind

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He still has Diaby-like tendencies in the brain area.
As someone once said of Theo, ''You can run as fast as you like, if you can't control the ball you're no f*cking good to anyone !''.

So is Theo good enough for you or not, now ?
It's not as simple as that. Ye, he has pace - but often he still doesn't make the right decision when he has the ball, better, but still not consistent enough.

Controlling the ball is a physical action, making the correct decision is a mental one, requiring brain activity.

He is not yet as good as he needs to be. Better, but not finished.
Basically if Theo didn't have blistering pace, he wouldn't be playing at such a high level.

Ok im going to say it. Right now I think Van Persie is the best striker in the Prem. Yes better than the Malaria Drogba. Much better than Rooney and Torres.
So losing him to injury again is then biggest blow. Yes Cesc is a massive blow too but Nasri could play there.
Nobody can do what Van Persie does. It must make Barcleona so very happy. I honestly feel we would have got through with Cesc and Van Persie in the team.

If only we could keep him fit for 4 months (instead of the 3) out of 9 months of a season.. :?

agreed - his conversion rate may not be that of an ian wright or th14 but cetainly on a par with that of bergkamp, wiltord, overmars, alan smith or an afc annelka

the real concern is that every successful afc team has had a minimum of 2-3 quality strikers available for most of the season in which they've won things. for the past few years we've had 1 fit for a few months..... if we're lucky!! :? :barscarf: :? :banghead: :?
