Lay Off Pat Rice!!!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Pat Rice has been a great servant to the club for many years, and us oldies remember his tasty goal at Reading. However it is obvious that things have got to change, and new ideas are badly needed. I would never slag Pat off,but he has probably done all he can and perhaps should put his feet up and enjoy his retirement.

Vaguely remember a keeper we had called Rice Wilmot.

Was he related to Gary?

Do you remember when we were 1-0 up at Anfield with one minute to go in 1989 knowing one more goal would win us the league?

It was a rice against the clock.
