Is it not possible that in the struggle that would have ensued upon trying to retake the plane, control was lost and it crashed?

And plane phones do work in the sky, thats the whole point of them. More nonsense from the looney brigade.
It does seem a little strange that the passengers on flight 93 seemed to communicate via telephone with their loved ones on the ground with ease yet President Bush, travelling on Airforce One, one of the most highly sophisticated and kitted out planes ever to take to the skies, was uncontactable whilst in the air.
No he wasn’t "uncontactable", simply incorrect. On occasions calls were lost but he was able to make contact with the ground. Condoleezza Rice even talks about how their conversation ended with her putting the phone down on him over the disagreement about whether he should return to Washington or not. He also spoke to his wife (again documented). But I suppose your answer to that will be “well they would say that wouldn’t they – it’s all part of the cover upâ€

I remember reading that whilst Bush was watching the television pictures on Air Force One, there would be breaks in the footage because the plane was travelling across state boundaries and had to pick up a new television signal at various times.

Perhaps same happened with the phones?

Watched the memorial service the other day actually choked me up and had to turn it off in the end. Such a tragedy for the poor innocent people killed...Whether you like or hate the USA thousands of people who did nothing to deserve that died that day

Hope they R.I.P. and there families can continue with their lifes too

So the recording of the conversation by the air stewardess to the authorities, reporting a hijack on her plane through an airplane phone, was faked?

We can't check with her obviously because she was flown into a building, so I guess the theories will continue.

Anyway Air Force One has plenty of hi-tech communication equipment. I know cos I saw it on "24"

Have you ever been on short/medium-haul flights in the US? On the vast majority of planes, every seat has a SkyPhone or AirPhone or something similar in the seatback infront. Get your facts right please, you deluded, disrespectful little *word censored*.

in 2001? no need to be so aggressive just because someone does not agree with your views this, is this Animal Farm?

I believe United 93 was shot down, hardly being disrespectful unlike yourself

Maybe they did but thats not the point, I said the flight was shot down not that the calls didn't happen and im not a conspiracy believer, i dont think the whole thing was a goverment job only that this particular plane was shot down and if it was then the truth should have come out as it would have been understandable.

why did that bloke ring his mum and say hi its Mark Bingham? bit odd

I've been spending two months a year at least in the US since about 98. Phones have been on the flights at least since then

If that is not the point why did you raise it? You kept going on about it and now that people have proved that you were wrong you move away from it and claim it is irrelevant. Don't you think if there were no phones on planes that it would have been a pretty daft thing for people to claim i.e. it would have been pretty easy to disprove.
