WENGER interview admits to summer of discontent

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Vermaelen has ZERO sell on value until he proves he can play 6 games on the trot without being injured!

Wenger plays the high ground with morals....ie: 'We' do things the right way, I don't walk away from a contract etc etc but he is a lying *word censored*! Week after week he lies to the lifeblood of the club. I despise the bullshitter, and pray for the day something happens and he leaves our club by whatever means necessary. He is a lying fool, a lying prick, a lying wanker.
Wow, staggered by this post, I guess football is more than life or death hey?

No, I just read it and pictured Larry Grayson getting hot and bothered with his feather duster.

Bit drama queenish, sorry.

You could go back and look at when we signed every player in the squad and find that other clubs wanted the same players (Diaby for example) but they were not signed as duds. Some worked out and others didn't - ladies and gents, it's the world of fucking football. The extended contracts are due to the thought that the players still have it in them to do the business, again, some work, some don't.
I am quoting you here Kiwomya. You said 'every player in the squad'.

Questions.

1. Who wanted Denilson? Who??
2. Who wanted Bendtner? Who???
3. Who wanted Chamakh!!! Oh I forgot, we fought off Sunderland's offer for him, my mistake...
4. Who wanted Choo Young!!! Oh the Korean army, I forget...judge him in May 2013...
5. Who wanted Koscielny? Go on name one team.
6. Mannone's contract was extended because....oh...who wanted him again?
7. Flapianski. He got an extended deal. Was that to ward off that offer from Real Madrid?
8. DIABY. The example you use. True Chelsea wanted him when we signed him. BUT. When he was given his new extended contract, name one team that showed ANY interest in this clown. Name it. Oh that's right: there were none. So instead of letting his contract lapse and spending that elsewhere, he was given £60k a week.
9, When Alex Thong got his extended deal just over a year ago, WHO WANTED HIM? Name please?
10. When Almunia got a new deal over 2 years ago that gave him big pay, who wanted him?
11. When ROSICKY got that extended contract coming off 2 years on a treatment table, name one pub side that woulda taken a punt on him please? Just one? With an injury record like that!!!

So you see, I've even been nice and left out shit signings like Shitachi, Gervinho, etc cos bad signings happen (though no one wanted these players)....

For me it is the EXTENDING of the contracts of players who

a: Are clearly shit.
b: No one wants.

That's why we had to farm Denilson and Bendtner out on loan and continue to pay most of their wages! That is also why Chamakh is still at the club, a mercenary sub on £60k a week as no one will match his wages...
You get far too excited by your blinkered hate for Arsenal. Does every post have to contain something degrading about a player?

I simply don't have time to dig out explanations to each question you ask. If you want the answers I suggest you look. I'm sure you can find articles about Chamakh being wanted by Chelsea, Chu Young linked with Liverpool blah blah blah. If links to other clubs qualifies them as better players then fucking good for you my friend. I fail to see what you are getting at anyway.

One question you do now seem stuck on is the one about contract extensions. You only want to slag off Diaby and Rosicky and players that haven't been a great success but fail to note that players like Wilshire have signed extensions. Doesn't fit in with your argument though does it?
I've proved the wonderful imbecility of your initial post and your assertion that 'every' was clearly a joke. My work is done here.

Oh and PLEASE YOU find the link linking Chamakh to Chelsea etc and please cite the verifiable sources etc....and gimme a shout once you've done that yah?
Yeah point proven. I'm embarassed.

Verifiable sources? You mean that your vague attempts at "facts" (i.e wages, stories about players could have gone to Arsenal but didn't) are from verifiable sources? Verified by who? An equally morbid character who can do no better than slag off a team he apparently supports?

Right so you've confirmed you're an imbecilic c**t-sore. Thanks for that.
Now now, Arsene's anus needs a good hoover, off you go boy...

I just called out the bullshit you wrote, your attempts at justifying contract extensions for rubbish players, we cannot get rid of as the fans are scammed are pathetic. You're an idiot. Piss off please...

what sort of manager would admit publicly that everyone wants to leave??

Wenger brought alot of this on himself, but most managers would never admit that their club is in turmoil and everybody wants to leave. That will only bring on a bigger world of sh1t. Hard to sign players if people know the club is about to fold.

Like any other manager he would attempt to use the press to his advantage.

Probably full of more lies excusing him or his project of the blame for anything.

He'll cite all the "special circumstances" that led to our demise - injuries, handbrakes, lack of concentration/mental strength, wrong type of snow, leaves on the line etc etc bullshit bullshit.

I got in the habit of working all the time. I think I must have been lazy in a previous life and was punished to come back in a very tiring and stressful job.

“I’d like to go to Tahiti for a month but I can’t
Haaa Haaa. My fucking stressful job!! Haa Haa Haa. I'd love to go to Tahiti. Oh, poor me! Boo fucking hoo. Tell you what, mate. Go and try that one with the unemployed fans out there with families to pay for, mortgages to pay and meals to put on tables. Go and tell that to the younger fans who love this club and have never been able to buy tickets, or the guys that save up all fucking month to buy an over-priced ticket to watch your shitty, cowardly, mincing, half-arsed fuckheads fuck about for 90 minutes and draw 0-0 with Blackburn or Sunderland.

'Oh, poor me, I have this terrible life, oh, poor me. I had a busy, stressful summer'. Yeah, I bet you fucking did. Going down water slides, lying every morning and evening, calling the fans that pay your fucking wages idiots, moaning about Man City and Chelsea, standing around watching footballers run around, going back to your mansion in Hertfordshire and not for one second worrying about your job. Fuck me, that's hard work! Actually having to do something and have a bit of pressure on you. Phew, glad that's not me. Can't go to Tahiti, eh? Fuck off.

What surprises me most about that comment by Wenger is the amount of people - and less surprisingly, the media - who took his words too literally.

Surely when he said "I expect no one to leave" he WASN'T meaning that no one would leave (because clearly they would) but that he wasn't resigned to it... that nothing was certain... that negotiations with clubs were ongoing...that nothing had been signed and sealed.

That's how I took his comments.

After all, why would he mean that no one would be leaving when he'd already told us that Bendtner and Almunia were free to look for clubs...?

I just think people are so eager to condemn Wenger, that they're trying too hard to misinterpret him.

There's plenty to legitimately attack him over... but this is just petty.

I would love wenger to quit, to show his true colours and to fuck off to PSG. Then he will spend 100's of millions and leave us fucked.

What will the AKB sheep say then?

My prediction is more than likely going to happen by the way

I can see what youre saying g88ner but you shouldn't have to interpret his statements (he is talking in english after all). I expect him to honest, thats not to say he should come out and say 'Cesc if off to Barca tomorrow and we have no replacement yet' but equally he shouldn't say 'i expect no one to go'!!! As i said earlier why cant he say something along the lines of 'there might be some in and a some out?

He knows Arsenal fans are hanging on his every word regarding transfers especially the future of our captain last summer and its an insult to every supporter to blatently lie

I thought about posting something similar to this. Wenger is an educated bloke. People expect him to dumb down to somesort of Redknapp level just so they can understand what he's saying.
