ARSENE CANNOT COMPETE: Hamstrung by 17 man rule

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Do what Red says - get rid of RVP
Yeah, this boy's a defender though so perhaps we should bomb out Vermaelen instead and play Squillaci and our new man together.

Red's Dream 11

Almunia
Jenkinson
Santos (in fairness he called this one early)
Squillaci
Newbie from Oman
Walcott (on 100k per week deal)
Denilson (should be recalled)
Song
Gervinho
Arshavin (captain)
Park

I thought it was too. Until the moaning started in the Democratic Rebublic of Wherevistan, claiming 'why is this thread up, you shouldn't be allowed to make this thread bla bla'....then followed by some joker (hi Macdowell) bitching about 'Bla bla bla you are USMarty bla bla'.

Note that prior to the 'contribution' of McTowel, this was a decent thread generating discussion. My mistake was to lower myself to his toilet denominator. I shan't do it again...back to the football...

Just to reiterate. Some comedian thinks someone should be banned for re-hashing the same generic subject.

In which case, I propose that anyone found duplicating threads about football matches, ticket prices, moaning about defeats and thoughts on the general state of Arsenal be banned also, seeing as these are all repeat topics.

Pure jokes the total lack of intellect....

It's about as clever as calling Alex Song Alex"Thong" instead.

To be fair I wasn't much better when I was eleven either

Hi Topgoon.

Could you please answer me this, as I am mildly curious: this thread quite clearly is discussing the meritocracy -or lack of - at Arsenal. It is a debate composed of an analytical look at the Arsenal wage estimates, and the assertion that the club is perhaps hamstrung financially, because of an incredulous wage structure that needs revision.

Could you please therefore explain, how that turns this topic into an 'I hate Wenger' thread please???

Ok so just to get this right:

1. No repeating of football-related topics that may or may not have been alluded to in previous months/years/weeks

2. No usage of words that you or some others do not like, despite them being inoffensive e.g. using the word 'perspicacious'. I don't even think it's a big word as my 14 year old nephew knows what it means but ok.

3. No answering back to anyone who may or may not be acting like a pillock.

Am I missing anything else mate?

:)

It's quite simple, you've only been on here for a short while and despite some of your more rational arguements, you seem to think that you should be as subtle as a Vinny Jones tackle with every arguement.

Then it's the insults and unless I'm mistaken a few weeks ago you were calling out one of the Og's to meet you in the pub and it wasn't for a friendly chat about the state of the economy....no offence but WTF .

The forum's supposed to be a laugh for Gooners but it's just getting rude and full of antagonism on here.

Differences of opinions are allowed, slagging people off because of them is out of order and yes I do mean some of the more subtle ones like I've high-lighted on your post
