As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I also think BBP makes good point about it being a managemnt decision.
That said, there could be a solution that the club have a group of ex-players who will sign such items, simply because they are proud of their time with Arsenal.
I do not know who to suggest it to, but it would surely be a fitting way to honour Mick and future charity efforts.
i couldnt think of a more worthy cause than what KJ is suggesting. i know they get swamped, but what KJ is describing would be a good opportunity to give something back to the fans and a good PR opportunity.
The cause is irrelevant.
The club clearly have a quota of charity requests, and that is entirely understandable.
Whilst I would have liked them to have signed the flag to honour Mick, the club has a cut off point.
So as I suggested, an extra facility of ex-players to help out would be a nice touch, if someone with a contact in the club, could suggest it.

???
suspected drop out from what?
google it, mate.
Blimey, this is making my head hurt.
The only definition I know of drop-out would mean your saying I'm suspected of dropping out of uni, or life, or something? - but you don't know me, so that would make fuck all sense.
Then again, of it's street talk I'm fucked... that stuff confuses the hell out of me, I'm afriad mate

G88ner dropped out of the Tennis Clique when Jayson insisted on a fancy dress party with a strict "Billie Jean King or Martina Navratilova only" dress code, in protest at the failure to have "Virginia Wade/Sue Barker British icons" option?

Unless it's also some sort of street talk... if so, I'm fucked as that stuff makes no sense to me whatsoever, mate!

FatChaz wrote:BG, with all due respect it's a bit unfair that local fans dont get the same treatment as fans from Brazil, who support Arsenal thanks to a bit of glory and certain famous Brazilian Gunners. That's something you wont ever understand being a brazilian gooner.
why can't i understand that? are you calling me stupid because i'm brazilian???? FUCK YOU YOU RACIST c**t!!!
of course i get it, not only get it but agree totally, only reason why i said i think arsenal are a class club in my opinion is because they treat ME and the supporters close to me wonderfully well - i cannot judge them based on what they do to other people as i don't see that, i live too many miles away.
that AND i do take what i read in this forum with a pinch of salt, as we have some seriously angry people in here
but i did tell southcoastarsenal that i get his points, fair play. if you fellas tell me they are c**ts with the supporter that's been going to the ground for years, fair play, i believe you. i don't pretend to know as much about arsenal as guys like olgit, who has been going to arsenal games for over 8 decades ( ) although i really wish i did.
you like playing that race card a lot it seems. ever heard of the story about a boy who cried wolf?
its also very short-sighted of you if you can't even see where we're coming from, it must be great living in your bubble. Good for you that Arsenal value your support more, but as local supporters what you say just strengthens our case that Arsenal has becomes a classless side and have ruined that badge and history.
are you incredibly stupid or are you just on the wind up?
i made a joke, put THREE FUCKING SMILING EMOTICONS and TWO FUCKING WINKY emoticons to confirm that.
then i said i made my point about me thinking arsenal is class because of the way they treat me and the people i know, but that I AGREE WITH YOU (did you read that part?) and accept your opinion because yes, you know arsenal better than i do, you're obviously closer and see more. that was my post.
now read your post again.
fucking hell
i'm the brazilian and you're the one can't read!
i know it was a joke, but it wasnt very funny and it was another race related topic by you. just change the tune mate.
don't worry, first thing you learn when you meet people (even over internet forums) is that with some you can joke, laugh and have fun (and even call them *word censored*) while others are just too delicate (or sometimes too stupid), requiring you to take a more formal and cold approach.

bg, having read the whole post i can confirm that he is coming across as being a complete dick and if he has a go at me i will throw the "race card" in his face to, us minorities have to stick together

i'm not that familiar with the english language, but if you're saying "minorities" because of my lack of height i'm coming after you too mate!!!
(hold on, i'm gonna put some more emoticons, you just never know if people in this forum aren't gonna think i'm using the "race card" with the midget stuff)
i contacted tim payton last night from the ast, he said he will look in to this for you and get back to me.
Thanks mate, really appreciated.
Thanks to everyone else for their responses too, not just me going mad.
Number 5, the response was short and brief;
Unfortunately we cannot get this flag signed.
I understand the club do a lot for charity etc, but as Sid pointed out I think a lot of that comes from the supporters.
What gets to me is that the club obviously have time to get the players to sign the shirts, I've been to the training ground and seen the shirts all laid out on tables and the players just sign them as the exit the building. If they've got time to sign shirts to be sold in the Armoury, they've got time to fulfil this request.
