[quote="Revgoon89"][quote="clockender1"]interesting quote from TH14 : " don't expect me to change things. People must understand I am just here to help, from the bench - if I can get on the bench..."

full quote :

he's either being realistic or smartly underplaying it.

either way, the crowd will be on their feet every time he gets the ball on the left wing - myself, I can't wait.

my bet for Monday would be last 20-30 minutes as sub.

I'm also really looking forward to Ox getting a run in the team :barscarf:

What gets me about the Henry saga is the "Love-in" he is trying to "Re-ignite" with us.If he loved Arsenal as much as he currently seems to suggest,he wouldn't have fucked off to Barcelona for the money!!!
Don't get me wrong,I totally appreciate what he did for us during his time at the club, but please, credit me,(us),with a bit more intelligence than to fall for the,"I only ever really loved you",bullshit!!!

He's only here for 6 weeks yet he's gonna take a couple of weeks to be full fit, that speaks volumes for what sort of signing this is, I've officially written off this season, from this day forward what will be will be.

I dont get it? Wengers on SSN saying
"(Henry) is behind physically of course", and
"hes one or two weeks away from being ok"

Yet he says "he will be involved against Leeds"

Is it me or is there no logic in that?

Is he really is just trying to bluff everybody or sell tickets or wtf is he at now?

From The Evening Standard:

"Henry, who will be given the No12 shirt, trained with the first team at London Colney this morning and spoke of his delight at returning to the club for whom he scored 226 goals in 370 appearances.

"I'm not coming back here to be a hero or prove anything, I'm coming here to help," said Henry.

"The manager has his squad, Marouane [Chamakh] and Gervinho are going away to the Africa Cup of Nations and he asked me if I wanted to fill in the gap.

"It's kind of unreal to be honest, it's all happened so fast. The boss spoke to me before the Wolves game and I had to think about it, to be honest.

"If you ask anybody if they want to come play again and help the team you love and support, it was difficult for me to say no knowing the part I was going to play.

"As I said I am not here to be a hero and people do have to understand that. The boss has a team here that are in a good position compared to what happened at the beginning. I'm here to help the boss and the guys that need me.

"For me being able to come here and train, being in the dressing room and seeing all the training staff, I have no words to describe it. To wear the jersey one more time, I can only be honoured.

"People might think I am just saying that, but when I left this club I cried and I cried for the statue. I haven't cried a lot in my career but when I do it seems that something is happening with Arsenal.

"In my time here I always tried to be honest, and I think the fans can see that. When I am happy, I am happy and when I am not they can see it too. They say love is blind, but it is difficult for me to say no to Arsenal."

"Right now Robin is flying," said Henry, who left the Gunners in 2007 to join Barcelona. "I can be around and talk to him but he is doing what he does best: scoring goals.

"You don't want to disturb that, you want to help that and make sure you can give him some help. He went to the final of the World Cup and like the fans say, he scores when he wants.

"When the boss spoke to me about coming back, I wanted to make sure I didn't disturb the team that was in place. That was important to me, I am a fan don't forget that."

I may be foolish to "Hope" (Perhap hope beyond hope) That His "Love" for Arsenal - Will show those players who have no idea what playing for Arsenal truly means - will somehow get through to them, and rather than give thier best occasionally - they do so every damn game!..

I think AW needs to say to those players this applies to (With the EXCEPTION of: RVP, TV5, Shez, Wilshere, Sagna, Jenkinson, Frimpong (on loan sadly), the Ox) that "This is How Passionaate and Committed you have to be - If you truly care about playing for The Arsenal.

*(it's easier to write a list of the exceptions than those who don't seem to give a shyte)

Give it 30 minutes of a once classy genius plodding around on Monday night and your strange urge will soon be gone.

The Armoury will be smoothered in cardboard cut outs of him!
