As I said chippy, it isnt a job I wanted and dont feel the slightest bit offended that I wasnt asked. I realise how hard the mod job is and I fully support the job you guys have done and continue to do on here

Maybe so, but at least have sensible moderators - how the fuck did Jayson slip through? his main contribution is ruining threads with endless childish gay innuendo and pages of chatting with his mates. Presumably, they won't be modded now he's a mod himself? and as for his shite about hoping people die of aids... how can someone with such a warped brain be trusted to mod the behaviour of others?
And it's not as if we were scraping the bottom of the barrel just yet - to not even ask a respected forum member who contributes by the bucket load like Augie is a fucking joke. Was Quartz even asked?? (even SWL perhaps?) - at least they contribute in a positive way and are mature/intelligent enough to be trusted.
I wonder if **** or USMartin were next on Mikes list?
I didn't ASK anyone to be mods because I didn't need to.
All the new mods volunteered themselves to help the forum. If they hadn't then it's quite likely there wouldn't be a forum now, so perhaps some of you should be grateful to them rather than criticise.

That's harsh mate. Disagree all you want, but as someone who knows Jay far better than you, he is both mature and intelligent. He, as many others did, used to use this place to let off steam, I'm sure now he's a mod he'll be less radical.

I wasn't asked. Probably because I've overstepped the line a few times, and don't have the time in my life to be on here often; I generally just come on for a short while, post a lot, and sign off.
As for Barriecuda, he's one of the more cerebral and sensible posters on here, who posts throughout the night because he lives in Canada. Think he's an excellent choice, as it takes the strain off the usual one mod at night time, and probably not a choice I would have thought of.

To be fair mike, I think most of the comments are just a bit of banter taking the piss out of the new "superpower mods" We all know that without these "lunatics running this asylum" we would have no forum so we are grateful and appreciative
Nick, I think it is fair to say that g88ner's comments were in no way meant as a personal attack on jayson but more borne from frustration at the continued gay and private jokes that he is involved in. I have met jayson and agree that he is a sound bloke who enjoys the bit of banter on here like most of us do but that doesnt disguise the frustration that many of us felt when many threads were taken over in that way and I think that is all g88ner was trying to say.
Anyway with nick,g88ner,ldb and a few more down in "the cheap seats" of this forum I like to believe that our postings are too important and valued to be lost out to the time restrictions of living in mod-world

Was worth stating though because I'm certainly grateful to everyone who got in touch after the forum was suspended and offered to help bring it back.
