Cesc to return?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Aparently not.
So already one of the reasons Cesc went back to Barca has gone.
Looking forward to seeing them come under pressure from their fans next season.

This thread still confuses me :?

I thought Sid was a realist who has been very critical of Wenger and the club, yet in this thread he's trying to convince everyone that the grass isn't greener at Barca than at Arsenal.

I doubt even Red Member is that much of a rose tinter to think Arsenal are on the cusp of overtaking Barca in world football to the point that Cesc would regret rejoining the club of his dreams.

It's a crazy thread. Up there with that relegation one, where I was called an AKB and rosetinter because I didn't think we'd be anywhere near relegation and could even be in the dizzying heights of the top 6! - baba ripped me apart for my arrogance of dismissing our relegation potential!  insane.

Fun thought, but I doubt Cesc is unhappy in the least.

1. He's living in Spain, a much prettier and warmer country likely surrounded by far better looking women 8)

2. He's playing a part in one of the greatest sides ever assembled, who despite falling short this year, won a treble only the year before and have all the potential and resources to do it again next year.

3. Arsenal has made only tiny steps forward since his departure; far too slow a rate for his liking to be sure.

I can't think of any steps forward, tiny or otherwise, that we have made in the last year

Cesc Unhappy with Whores

Post by storrmin571 »

Bit of a nothing story, but thats not stopped anyone else :banghead:

Cesc Fabregas has admitted his frustration over his recent inconsistent performances for Barcelona.

The Spain international midfielder, who revealed his frustration at not playing every minute of every game, was substituted only 63 minutes into Barca's narrow victory over Valencia on Sunday.

Despite starting all three Primera Division games so far this term, Fabregas remains far from happy playing a cameo role for his boyhood club, having returned to the Nou Camp last summer for £30million after eight years at Arsenal.

Upset: Cesc Fabregas takes his 'unhappy face' home with him

His complaint echoes that of Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who refused to celebrate his brace against Granada due to feeling 'sad' for 'professional reasons'.

Fabregas told Radio Marca: 'There's no such thing as a great substitute in the world of football.

'I couldn't tell you what makes a great substitute.

'I always wish my team-mates well and put a happy face on.

'If I have to take my unhappy face home then so be it, but I would never let my team-mates or manager see it.'

The versatile 25-year-old competes for a starting berth in the centre of the park with Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Sergio Busquets and new recruit Alex Song, his former Gunners team-mate.

Sad: Cristiano Ronaldo has been complaining at Real Madrid

'Everybody likes to play every minute of the season,' he added.

'I've always said that I play for the best team in the world, but I came here to compete, to learn and enjoy, not to sit wracking my brains.

'The manager knows what I can offer. But across the three positions that I can play, I am competing with the three best players in the world.

'I'm delighted to be a part of this team but when a coach tells me I have to go, I'll go.

'But I will not make it easy for him to do so, by any means. I will keep going, looking forward

I suppose over here he was a kind of footballing god and the press loved him and the club adored him. In Barcelona he is another great player in a team full of great players. Coming second for Barcelona is complete and utter failure.
