As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm not an AKB. I would like to see Wenger replaced but what if, and it's a big if I know, but what IF we win something this year? Is it enough? A one-off or a sign of better times to come? That's why I'd say give him a rolling contract with performance targets he must meet. These targets shouldnt be top 4 finish and a nice profit. Besides, I said I'd promise not to slate Wenger until christmas (If, indeed, he deserves to be slated then. As I said, we might be doing brilliantly)
WIN SOMETHING!!!! even I am not as deluded to think there is a chance of this club winning something this season

If you want wenker to stay- youre an AKB
Be proud of it. Admit it
Aimed at me I guess
I'm not an AKB (Just for you ) but I'm just optimistic that we MIGHT win something. Let's just say for arguements sake we win the FA cup. Is that enough? No, not really but is it a good sign? Could be. Hence why a rolling contract could be a good idea. It will let Wenger know he's on thin ice and maybe just push him toward cutting out the hangers on. But it will only work if the right terms are imposed.
As I said, I'm not justifying nor am I crucifying Wenger until the new look side has had time to gel. Early signs are good but the season's young. Though, if it becomes clear that this will be another season of total failure then get rid but let the team settle first.
Be honest, all those who want Wenger out (me included in a way) want to be wrong. When we say "We wont ever win anything under Wenger" really we want to be wrong. Unless, that person hates the manager more than he loves the club?

WUM Alert
Anything is possible. Look how bad the Chavs were last year, did they not win the CL? Once Giroud finds the net (Which he will) we will have a truly dangerous attack with a solid back 4 (Well, apart from Gibbs).

Either you want him to get a contract (be it 1, 4 or 10 years) or you dont. Why 3 options?
Do you want Wenger to get a new contract?
Yes
No
Whats wrong with that?
Bit of a difference between a performance based 1 year rolling deal and a 10 year deal isn't there?
The poll is entitled....... WOULD YOU GIVE ARSENE WENGER A NEW CONTRACT
Not.......... would you give Wenger a 1 year contract, a 4 year contract or no contract.
It doesn't mention "performance based". Wenger hasn't won anything for almost a decade. Madness is doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different outcome.
There could be loads of options then.....
6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years etc, etc.........?
Just wondering why the 4 year or 1 year options were there instead of a simple yes or no?

But this season he hasn't done the same thing. Carzola, Giroud and Podolski are hardly nobody 17 year olds from a third-tier team are they?
If it was any contract or no contract, then I'd say give a contract. But the option for a rolling contract is there, so I took it. If the choice was a 4 year deal or no deal, then I'd go for no contract.

No but yet another reason (if one were needed) as to why he shoud fuck off. For using Arsenal as his vanity project for years and persisting with signing shite and overpaying them. Proof that Wenger and his doomed vanity project is a massive Fail.
Can we please just clear something up here.
Olly Giroud was, is and always will be, shite.
"Once he finds the net"? LOL
Even Jeffers and Chamakh found the net now and then!
There's a reason this pillock gets booed on his second France appearance. There's a reason no other big team wanted him.
There's a reason he's got zero European club competition experience! At that age!
He's SHIT

Not sure I see your point mate, sorry.
I wouldn't call Carzola, Podolski and Giroud shite. Or are you saying that based on his past dealings? In which case I agree with you there, but surely by not signing shite this time it shows that he is turning himself around.
Sorry if I missed your point pal, let me know if I have, only way I'll learn
