TONIGHTS FOOTBALL

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Gooners coming from 4 down to win a cup tie

The Scummers dominating a game for 80 mins and going out whilst missing a last minute penalty

The Murderers losing to their manager's old club

2 penalties awarded against the Mancs in one game !

And a draw against Bradford from League Two in the quarter-final. Should be renamed the Carlsberg Cup after all that

We could get to the final & he'd still play Steve Bould in goal, Arshavin at right back & Gunnersaurus in the middle  :banghead:

HEY, HEy, there is absolutely nothing wrong about playing gunnersaraus through the middle ok!

Hey southern softies, shandy drinkers. Really looking forward to you guys visiting VP. Though this may be one giant killing too far for us. We desperately need the cash from this tie and should be televised also.

Welcome. What allocation do you think the away support will get? Do you think they'll open up a bit of extra stand for us next to the double decker bit?

Hey Gunner Ace. It's difficult to say how many tickets you southern wide boys will be given, though i notice you're like Man Utd supporters, living 200 miles from your club. As you also know, a L666's Gooner is more welcome at VP than your neighborly Scum associates.
Anyway, although it's been confirmed that the match will be screened live ( Ooh..more £ for us northern monkeys ), i still see a near sell out and since one part of our ground has no safety certificate that should be around 22,000.
It's likely that you'd be given the away end behind the goal ( Bradford End ) and maybe..just maybe if you're good, we'll let you have one section of the Midland Road stand totalling around 3,000.
Bear in mind we average 10,000 home attendance and took over 5,000 to Wigan on Tuesday .
We have no beef with Arsenal and look forward to seeing a quality Premiership side in December. But please, can we play your first 45 min team that you played on Tuesday :D

Domestic cups are 15% minimum allocation to away fans (unless I'm mistaken), should be somewhere near 3500.

I would say it'll be a stern test for our young players etc etc but if they can't beat a League Two side then they might as well hang their boots up now. Hope Wenger doesn't take the piss completely and still puts the likes of Kos, Arshavin, Walcott and Giroud in the squad.

Cheers for that. Seems like only yesterday ( 2000 )i was thrown out of Valley Parade for 'encroaching' onto the pitch after City took the lead against your boys and having to spend the rest of the match huddled with our asian neighbours peaking through a gap in the railings in the corner of the ground. But what a wonder goal from Thierry. Ah, memories. Summat to tell my grandkids.
If you're interested, here's one of our very active forums. Hot topic at the moment of course is the Fancy Dans from down south. Play nice
