As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I care more about the death of AFC as we used to know it, than I do that of a doddery disrespectful senile old c**t who got rich off grand-daddy's hard work rather than anything the old c**t contributed to society himself Even at that he then decided to sell his inheritence (and us) up the swanny to a man that he himself classed as undesirable only two years previously

Lest we deride him eh? I mean, he would never bite the hand that feed him, would he?
He's going to get a mention in basement thread.
I'm very sad to hear this. my thoughts and prayers got out to him, his family and his friends.
Whilst i'd like him to resign, i would never wish ill-health on anyone.
I do wonder why the club left it until Sunday Morning to announce it though, given it happened on Friday night. As a PLC they should have announced it immediately as it's material to the Company.
I can't help thinking this was timed to dissipate some of the back page sunday morning backlash.

In theory it is material but in reality everyone knows he's a puppet. Also not sure to what extent it would have mattered over the weekend on non-trading days.
I think they didn't announce it because it would have made for an awkward atmosphere for the BSM march and (ridiculous as it sounds) I'm sure people would have been complaining that they were trying to silence the critics with the timing of their announcement.
If he was taken ill on Friday, then he was rushed to hospital.
Guess his wife was thinking of her family first before phoning round, she might not have been in a state to do anything immediately.
