Hazard kicks ballboy and is sent off

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Hazard is 22 only 5 years older than the ball 'man' how embarrassing to want to be a ball boy/man at that age
Good point, noticed everyone seemed to miss this.

No not an ideal scenario, but it was an amusing incident given the lad is in his late teens.

Some of the posts about this astound me.

Hazard should not be putting his hands, feet or anything else near a ballboy, nevermind wrestling him to the ground and then kicking him. It really is that simple.
Another example of a self important, overpaid modern day footballer thinking he can do as he pleases. Unbelieveable.

If he felt the ballboy was time-wasting then tell complain to the ref or lino.

As for the ballboy? Now hes a *word censored*? So hes a prick? A cheeky this/that? For posting on twitter?
Guys get a grip. Ever read some of the shit we post here? So what if hes on twitter posting shit and bigging himself up? Thats what a lot of people do. Especially 17 year olds. Doesn't mean shit.

At least the lad was there supporting his club, not doing what a llot of yoofs do (and what I did at his age) - drinking, smoking and getting into bother., bringing trouble to his parents door.

If the ballboy was wasting time - so what? Fair fuckin play to him is what I say. One of the biggest games in his clubs history. What would you do? Doesn't give Hazard any excuse to lay his hands on him. If I was in the same situation at 17 years old I'd have hit him back, no doubt.

Imagine how we'd feel if that was a Junior Gunner ballboy or ballgirl and Hazard had booted him?

For me Hazard needs a ban similair to Cantonas for attacking the Palace fan and an assault charge. Hw anyone can defend what he did or try to make light of it is beyond me.

Now I think of it, why didn't Terry take over from the ballkid? I'm sure he had a spare ball boy kit lying around that he could have jumped in to straight away.

Not going to happen of course, but maybe Hazard and other footballers should look at the video of the "kid" rolling around and wonder maybe where he got his inspiration....?

And although Hazard was only 5 years older, I do think there is a massive difference between 17 and 22. My kids are in this age group and I think its fair to say (and no disrespect to anyone on here  !) that most 17 year olds are still kids.... He is probably still in school, living at home, not earning a wage, virgin (yes, even in South Wales!) etc.

Really mate? You can work full time, get married or join the army and die in Afghanistan at 17 and this "kid" is doing ball boy duties? Seems a bit wrong to me :?

You can do lots of things at 17. Whats wrong about it?
The only thing that was wrong was Hazard being a priveleged, self-important, overpaid tool and putting his hands on the lad.
