Buy back Cesc Fabregas, or let Man Utd buy him?
Re: Manure in for Fabregas
Honestly, as much as I'd love to see him back at Arsenal I just don't see where he would fit in anymore.
We ain't Man City so it's unlikely we are going to stockpile talent - especially considering our track record with transfers.

False 9?
If we wanna compete for domestic cups we do need more depth.

Of course, but Arsenal aren't in a position of being able to have world class players sit on the bench! I think a bit more success on the pitch and we'd stand a chance of something like that.highburyJD wrote:False 9?

I would live to see Jack played wide right a few times
Re: Manure in for Fabregas
I think if there was any real chance of Cesc going to Utd, Wenger would pull out all the stops to bring him here & avoid it happening. Breaking transfer records, wage records etc. Whether that's a good or bad thing I don't know...

Re: Manure in for Fabregas
I would want Cesc to rule out a move to ManUre so we didn't have to spend so much

Given the chance, would y'all rather have Rooney or Fabregas?

Fabregas for me. Better footballer, more intelligent. Doesn't look like he'd molest grannies either.kiwomya wrote:Given the chance, would y'all rather have Rooney or Fabregas?

That and his 'Passion'[highburyJD wrote:agree with Reb and NFG
seems unlikely, he's a proper Gooner
if he is moving, we should be in for him - Wilshere, Cesc and Santi could weave some seriously pretty patterns
but what we've really missed is his directness on the counterattack, and ability to get in the box
Oh and his Skills on the Ball
Oh and yes..His Utter fecking 'Genius@
Him, JW and Santi would blow teams away...even the so called chavs threesome of hazard, mata and oscar would plae into insignificance ..
unless of course wenker steppped in and played them as 3 Cb's!!

How would you fit Cazorla, Fabregas and Wilshire in the same lineup?OneBardGooner wrote:That and his 'Passion'[highburyJD wrote:agree with Reb and NFG

Re: Manure in for Fabregas
I'm not sure going back is ever a good idea. It would be an admission of failure at his home-town club, whereas he could (but please God he won't) argue that Utd are as big as Barca and that with Fergie gone the slate at Utd has been wiped clean.
Despite my reservations, I'd love to see him in an Arsenal shirt again. However, AW would have to consider changing formation with yet another midfielder at the club (I wish he would).
With Xavi getting older I think Cesc may give it another year here before considering a move. Barca may not consider him an automatic starter but I'm sure they don't want Song as the main back-up.

Keown came back after a spell away, and he ended up a much better defender. Fabregas is in his prime, if its possible we should go for it.GranadaJoe wrote:I'm not sure going back is ever a good idea. Xavi is 33, Cesc would be foolish to leave now.
