Champions League Final

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Also 2 Bayern players should have been sent off.
Point 1, thought the same...maybe Klopp should have subsituted earlier...
Point 2, Dante against Reus and the penalty MUST be at least his second yellow card and then he will get a yello-red. I was sure wathching it on the stands, had a great view at this scene and looking at the TV replay defenitly.

Even stewards were commenting on lack of confetti etc. wonder if their was a fuck up somewhere. The opening ceremony was entertaining. Very disturbing seeing so many bayern fans in lederhosen. But it was a laugh.
Was going too try and flog my ticket but decided against it. Fans from both sides were trying too get tickets cheap, which i can understand as they dont pay a lot. All told a very enjoyable outing.
I thought the opening ceremony was a absolut disgrace! Uefa want a game without fight and save and what did the display? A war game :rubchin: absoluty shamefull!

Glad you've watch the game!
Tommi it was meant too be symbolic. knights of teams about too do battle on the pitch nothing more.

I think that has nothing to do with football. The entire Uefa thing was totally off.....

Cheers,

I don't see the problem with it really Thomas? Yes it was pretty corny but hardly like they had SS officers marching or on the other hand busty barmaids serving frothing drinks to dim-witted folks in lederhosen and braces, I don't see how it was particularly offensive.

In fact they stayed away from cultural stereotypes and did their best to depict a contest that had been viewed as a huge battle between two rival clubs which was staged in England. Don't think it would necessarily have been any different had it been two Italian clubs or two English clubs in the final?

These days it is all mixed up  strange that 'we Germans' found it strange that a war theme is the opener for a football game and the english think 'no problem with that' ....

I still don't see why they did that...if they had a second class singer and dancers for the opening ...ok..by the way why did they not picked Coldplay or something similar?!

Maybe because you want to get people fired up, not send them to sleep.
