Arshavin leaves

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

And when I stood up and threw some fucks in Wengers direction...... I was told by nearby "supporters" to sit down, shut the fuck up and piss off down to the lane and support them! :banghead: :banghead:

I dare say that 90% of forum users have been told to go and support Chelsea/City/Spurs

People resorting to telling others to go and support Spurs/Chelsea/Citeh generally do so because they cannot articulate and/or justify their opinions.

Was I trying to negotiate?........ no. I was venting my spleen which I am fully entitled to do, if I have to sit there and listen to a bunch of lemmings sing one Arsene Wenger every time something works out in his favour. I will tell him in no uncertain terms when it doesn't.

Probably not but giving the OP the benefit of the doubt and assuming that his profanities were punctuating him expressing his discontent and the reasons, it's a damn sight better than resorting to the hallmark of a moron and telling somebody to go and support our rivals.

I would make a guess that there are morons on both sides of the debate as there will be folk who are articulate, rational and coherent talkers on both sides. (clearly not many rational ones on the anti-Wenger side by definition ;) )

Yesterday evening a chap two rows behind me was shouting abuse and - to adapt a phrase from the conversation above - throwing a fuck or two in Arsen's direction near the end of the game when the left backs were swapped. Someone near this chap said "but I think gibbs is suffering and needs to come off" Fuck thrower repleies "well the *word censored* shouldn't have started him then"

No amount of rationalising will ever convince me that was the response of an articulate rational thinker.

Both sides - of this debate - have Morons, Both sides have folk with slightly higher IQs.

I would never say to someone go support a rival as it is clear that folk who get that angry about Arsene (albeit imo, of course, completely misplaced) are nothing but passionate about Arsenal and the common aim ramains whatever the current topic of debate.

It takes all kinds Steve some of us get more animated than others, one thing I cannot abide though is being told to support another club if I don't like it. As a little aside to this, I found it ironic that the only time this chap said anything during the game was to tell me to sit down and shut up. At no point did he sing or show any support to the team whatsoever.
