How do you explain Liverpool challenging for the title, and having the best strike partnership in the league, and they didn't qualify for any European competition last season? If finishing outside the top 4 means we get a manager who doesn't think qualifying for a competition is success then im all for it.
We were on the same points as Liverpool before the chelski game, so how is it they are challenging for the title and were not? :?
I think the relevant comparison with the mousers is that we were 5 points clear of them a couple weeks ago and there has now been an 8 point swing in their favour. They are challenging because they are winning games and getting results. We are not challenging because we are dropping points and losing games. Also they are winning some of the so called "6 pointer" games against title rivals whereas we have won only one "6 pointer" game against title rivals (mousers). These are the games you absolutely have to win the majority of to win the title. I'd also add that the mousers are only challenging for the title until they play Citeh and the Chavs. I can't see them winning both those games and in all honesty I'd be surprised if they get anything out of either with their shit defence.

He's playing in the u21 match at the moment. Just scored in fact. Not sure if that rules him out of a substitute appearance tomorrow or not.

I've been reading a lot of people tweeting about Akpom being put in the squad for tomorrow v Swansea. But the truth is the Coventry manager wasn't impressed with him, resulting in the end of the loan spell... Also a previous Brentford teammate from his recent loan spell questioned Akpom's attitude in a recent Brentford fanzine.

Isn't Chuba Akpom an anagram of Jermaine Pennant? :rubchin:

I doubt Akpom will play, as he's just scored a hat trick against West Ham reserves.

Ox and Gibbs are both available

Swansea's only current injury is Kyle Bartley  Michu must be odds on to score then

I am staying away from all Arsenal related media, so I'm hoping there's currently a dignified silence before going out and dicking this fucking Swansea shower and then maintaining the dignified silence until after the City game. No fucking talk about 'mental strength', bouncing back or hunger and belief

There are 2 ways this side can show a shred of mental strength - win the FA Cup with minimum fuss and beat City.

The goldfish brains will of course forget this when we're beating West Ham, Newcastle, Norwich and West Brom in the final few weeks of the season, and allow Wenger one last window to spend the warchest he's kept locked away in his virtual trophy cabinet. Remember its "artificial prices" time this Summer owing to the World Cup - something he stated in 2010 and 2006, and we all know he makes the same mistakes over and over again......so all those wanting There's Only One to splash the cash need only look back at history for an indication of how we'll feel come 1 September

Liverpool may well not win it, but the fact remains, they are challenging for the title, and will more than likely finish ahead of us, and this despite not qualifying for any European competition last season, which further proves why Arsenal don't need to be finishing in the top four to compete.

Bad news for opposition penalty takers anyway.
