Didnt wilshere fcuk off on holidays (to dubai ??) recently whilst the team were playing games without him ? Why is it ok for him to do it and not cesc ? Are we saying that all injured players must now attend all games whether they are injured or not ? The over-reaction to cesc going to spanish grand prix is both funny and a little bit embarrassing tbh

Forgive me if I'm wrong but didn't Cesc go to the Grand Prix on when he was ''injured'' - on strike to force the move?

However, I'm of the persuasion that if you're injured you're either home bound or working on your fitness
, not swanning off to hotter climates.

I didn't take as much of an issue with the Grand Prix thing as many did, but he was club captain at the time and it was a fucking dumb move to post a pic of himself trackside as the team were about to kick off. I don't think it was a particularly wise move for our club captain to be swanning off there, but if he really had to go he shoulda kept his nut down and not been bragging about it on social media.

Should we buy him back? Hmmm. Great player but not a position that we particularly need to address right now, we've got more small, technical midfielders than we know what to do with. Buy a fucking world class striker ffs.

That said, it would be painful to see him at Utd/Chelsea etc.

Fabregas went on strike to get a move to Barca, and couldn't even be bothered to turn up to see the club play in its final league game, before he left. Also it is quite clear that he has no feeling towards The club, as if he did, he wouldn't have considered a move to United last season, and he may well end up there this summer. It will be interesting to see how fans on here will view him, if he ends up at those wankers.
Yeah how dare he score a penalty against his boyhood club with a broken leg. What a fucker no feelings at all for the club

That is your defence of him, that he didn't try to miss a penalty against Barca? Lets see if you still want to defend him, when he joins United.

For me, Cesc was very passionate about the club and had an intense desire to win.
He took that penalty, he threw pizza at Ferguson, he gave 100%.

But in his last season I think he knew what other senior players knew, that we were unlikely to win a title again under Wenger unless there were huge changes in many areas of the club, and he felt these changes were not going to happen soon.

It was highly probable that he would return to Barcelona at some point, more a matter of "when" not "if".

Cesc appeared to lose faith in the club in his final season. He performed well, but without giving that extra little bit.
The incident with the Barcelona shirt placed over him was not his fault, he looked embarrassed about it.

Unlike Van Persie he has not publically criticised the club, and often Tweets messages of support for Arsenal, and says he looks out for our results.

If Cesc does leave Barcelona, it may be that he would not want to return to us?
If the papers are correct he does date a London based woman, and have a child with her, so that may influence him?

But possibly he would go to Bayern Munich to play under Guardiola?

PSG and Monaco are possibilities given the salaries they pay.

And given his personal ties to London, Chelsea cannot be ruled out.

He will never play for Maureen. They cannot stand each other.

Bring him back, make him captain, give him £200k a week on a 6 year contract. Look at how we struggled when Ramsey, jack, and Ozil were out. Arteta, Rosicky are pedestrian, Diaby is Diaby, and The Ox needs a full season to become the "next" Gerrard.

At worse Giroud with Ozil, Cesc and Ramsey behind him Theo and The Ox either side. Flamini or Wilshere holding the midfield. Hands down best midfield in the league...maybe this could happen as we have first refusal on cesc if he is up for sale.

I'd buy him back if the opportunity presented itself, however, I wouldn't seek him out as things stand.

If he becomes anymore disenchanted at Barcelona and decides he wants away, we'd be stupid not to move for him (and I believe we have a buyback clause that gives us precedence over other teams should he become available).

However, I don't think he and Ozil could co-exist in the same team without nullifying eachother's games.

We have enough midfielders, he should in no way be a priority.

Exactly and I reckon it will be utd's first signing of the summer.

I'd happily swap all 3 of Cazorla, Arteta and Monreal to have Cesc back.

Of course we need a world class striker first and foremost, but Wenger is not going to sign one anyway so it's irrelevant. We already have top-top, super-super quality Giroud :barscarf:

Yup - said it couple of years ago when he always seemed to go missing from CB. The forgotten player.
