Simeone's reaction was OTT of that there is no doubt, but I would much rather have a bad loser as manager of AFC than just a loser. People will no doubt focus on someone's red card and slate him as a result rather than focus on how close they came to winning a competition based on a coaching masterclass :(

There is a self publicising arrogant pr*ck manager who made his name on winning the champs league with a mid level club - that club competed in a second tier league of which they were the kingpins which, in my opinion at least, allowed them to focus their attention on the champs league. Simeone's team won a top level league by beating of two of THE biggest and wealthiest clubs in world football and they also beat some of Europe's biggest clubs to get to last nights decider 8) In all honesty they were probably robbed last night in that there is no justifiable reason why 5 minutes injury time was decided - yes I realise that the goal was actually scored in the 3rd minute but the whole mindset changes when you see the board raised with 5 minutes on it :x

Simeone has had an unbelievable season and I feel really sorry for him that it ended that way :( He is everything that AFC need in a manager right now.........he is extremely well organised tactically, he is excellent at identifying recruits when they lose their best players and, most importantly, he is a great motivator and lights a fire under his players arse's every game they play 8)

I watched the whole game and really enjoyed it despite rooting for Athletico.

They deserved their goal but in the last 20 minutes simeone could not stop his team defending so deep and they left no one up to clear the ball to and relive the pressure.

That handed the initiative and momentum to Real and when they got the equaliser it was impossible to reverse it.

To their credit they did try, but the Real Madrid fitness and fresh subs tore them apart.

With hindsight Simeone will think the costa sub punished them and the fact the never pushed on for the second goal.

The 3-1 and 4-1 celebrations were extremely dsrespectful to Athletico and their fans.

But then the players of the two clubs genuinely hate each other.

Ramos and Godin had great games - Khedira was booed by real fans when they were 1-0 down for not doing enough.

They don't have the financial clout of Barca or Real but can I'm pretty sick of hearing about how they're a fine model of a football club :blah: :blah: :blah:

Great achievements from them this season but they dive and cheat just like the others and they owe well in excess of 100m euros to the country's crippled treasury. People are quick enough to moan about Real Madrid's shady deals with the local government but Atletico being allowed to completely reinvest the funds they got from the Torres and Aguero deals despite being in such huge debt to their government is a joke. In this country HMRC would serve a winding-up petition for 5% of that debt, not agree gentle repayment plans.

I'm not underestimating Simeone's achievement at all - I said earlier this year that if they won La Liga and overcame the two giants it would rank as one of modern football's greatest achievements. That is still the case

However, in the same way you don't appreciate Mourinho's antics, Simeone looks to have acted like a fucking headcase at the end. Wenger doesn't come in to it - I don't want an Arsenal manager running on to the pitch wanting to fight other team's players and having to be dragged away from the ref. It doesn't end there either......I saw the way Atletico's players conducted themselves in the first leg of the semi against the Chavs and it turned my guts.

It was a very average final and encompassed everything that is Spanish football; over-rated, full of cheats and divers and ladyboys feigning injury, with a few very nice bits of technical football thrown in every now and again so the purists can cream themselves about the beauty of the Spanish game.

The diving is bad enough, but the fucking rolling around holding their legs and screaming (yes, SCREAMING), faking serious injury and then jumping up 20 seconds later very obviously uninjured just disgusts me and is embarrassing beyond belief. Man-up you fucking geebags. :x

Also, the sight of two of the most over-rated players in world history, the monkeyboy and the ladyboy, both bottling a major final and still lifting the trophy was sickening. Two worse divers and cheaters I wouldn't be able to name (unless it was Stevie Me and Grannyshagger).

Fuck Real Madrid. Dislike them as much as I do the Whores. :x
