How should we line up next season?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I agree NB, that's the flaw in the team selection - parlour then Freddie used to protect the full back.

If we play a winger, you have to have someone directly behind him - 433 or 4321. Whereas with Caz it becomes a lopsided 424.

Looks like Theo has had a set back. Alexis to play RW.

Generally, your best players are present in the starting lineup as they enhance everything.

What makes you think Wilshere "reinvented" (whatever that means), warrants a starting spot ahead of Ramsey who's better than Jack in virtually all facets of the game?
Yes, well I guess we disagree. I think Wilshere has the right aggression and temperament to make it as a hard tackling, ball distributing DM whereas I think Ramsey is better suited forward BUT in the proposed system there simply isn't a spot for more than one Ozil/Ramsey/Carszola. It's irrelevant I guess though because Wenger has only one style at it doesn't suit the skills of some of his squad. So yup 0-7-3 will get the best players on the park.

haha the naievity of your post is unbelievable.

how about injuries, suspensions etc. We will never see that line up this season.

ok for starters the Germans won't be fit enough for the start of the season so that is Mertesacker and Ozil out.
so TV5 will have to come in (if he hasnt already been sold) If he has then maybe Jenkinson at CB??
Jack Wilshere can come in for Ozil I suppose and then of course you will need the Ox to come in for Walcott who also isnt fit.

then you have to remember we will be playing a weakened side v Everton away (this game will be sacrificed so that we can concentrate on the CL qualifier)

suddenly the bench won't be looking so strong will it?

Gee Nos - I know Jenks is only average but it's a bit harsh including him in a 12 man starting side and assuming no one will care.
Thanks for pointing out I've got 12 man team. I'll do this again with current squad;
Szcesney
Debuchy, Koscielny, Meretsacker, Gibbs
Wilshere, Ramsey, Chamberlain,
Ozil
Sanchez, Theo.

If we sign Khedira he will replace Jack, if we sign Casillas he would be starting ahead of Szcesney.

He doesn't. Sad as it is there is no chance of us seeing anything like the best of him under Wenger.

Podolski must be really tired after his efforts in Brazil

It's not like the lazy fucker will get much playing time anyway. Must be knackered from all that partying too. :D

Tipping young Joel to end Podolski's Arsenal career.

Of course there will be injuries, illness and suspensions.
Plus possible transfers away from the club before September.

But this thread is about how we might line up if all are fit and eligible to play.
Every poster on this thread has selected a team/squad on that basis.

No need to have a go at guybwood49.

Yep. And then his own, when he inevitably moves to Crystal Palace or Stoke in oh about 2 seasons time.
